And it is - truly. I get to be creative, style and connect with incredible women, and build something that I love. That part will always be magic.

But it’s also heavy sometimes. It’s carrying the weight of every decision, every order, every quiet day worrying if I ordered the right things. It’s the moments of doubt, wondering if I’m doing enough — or doing it right at all.

But, do you know what makes it worth it? THE PEOPLE 💞

Our amazing, hard-working team…they show up every single day with so much care and kindness. They have become my second family — I’m so very thankful for them and I truly couldn’t do this without them. 🥹

The customers who walk through our doors and the customers who support us from afar. The customers who say kind words, make us laugh and sometimes even cry. The customers who give great hugs, bring friends, and make the choice to shop small.

The family, friends and community that reminds me we’re not doing this alone.

✨ Say Hello to The Nines by Linnie Lou ✨

What started as a “fun little side job” steaming clothes quickly turned into something much bigger—something life-giving, soul-filling, and joy-sparking. I’m beyond excited to officially announce our new name: The Nines by Linnie Lou. 💗

This rebrand marks a new chapter in a story that means so much to me. I started at The Nines part-time, tagging and helping out wherever needed. Then I stepped in a little more. And a little more. Eventually, I found myself managing the store I loved so much… and in 2024, I became the owner. 🥹

In 2020, I moved to Lincoln for a fresh start after losing my job during COVID. It was a leap of faith—fueled in part by my desire to be closer to my sons, Andrew and Nick, who both live here. I wasn’t sure what life would look like next, but I knew being near them would help me figure it out.

My background was in youth ministry, and for a while I worried I’d never find something that felt as meaningful. But it turns out that helping women feel beautiful, seen, and confident through style is its own kind of ministry—and it’s changed my life in ways I never imagined.

Along the way, I’ve met the most incredible people—customers, friends, team members, and one unforgettable woman who first invited me in: Kim. She was one of the first people I met here, and her strength, kindness, and trust in me are things I’ll carry with me forever. 💕

The nickname Linnie Lou came from my dad (who called me “Linda Lou”), and it stuck—thanks to my cousin, college friends, and Matt (my rock and biggest supporter through it all). Naming the store after that nickname just felt right. It felt personal. It felt like home.

From first dates to family photos, bridal showers to funerals, I’ve been lucky enough to dress you for some of life’s biggest moments. I wouldn’t trade it for the world.

To celebrate this new chapter, we also gave our website a total refresh—so you can now shop online at www.ishopthenines.com and get the same feel-good experience you love from our store, right from home.
