As you can see, the banding of the kestrel gives it an unfair advantage in this fight. 🤣 The mantis' raptorial forelegs cannot penetrate the high level armor of the bird band 🦾

My few remaining hummingbird hawk moth shots from this season. Next year I'm gonna give these guys a go and try to focus a little more on getting better shots. 🌸

⚠️ Tiny murder bird alert ⚠️

Kestrel amongst the fall colors 🍂🍁

Big shout out to the homie @mattstig for the tip. Ever since I started photographing wildlife this species has been my #1 on my list. Super grateful to have seen one hunting in the wild and equally as grateful to have awesome friends.

Red-head down for a drink. A rare occurrence and typically happens way too far for a shot, like this one 😂.

They typically only stay down for about 5 to 10 seconds and then they're immediately back up again so you have to be on your toes.

I've been seeing the Kingfisher around the swamp a lot more often lately. Never get sick of seeing these guys 💙

I've always found it difficult to get a good shot of a Phoebe so here's a bunch from the past month or two.

I apologize if there's a Wood Pewee or two in there. They look so similar 😂
