It’s easy to forget that we actually live in our own little postcard town. We love discovering new cultures, traditions and places around the world, but we never take for granted the place closest to our hearts; Nevlunghavn, right here in our own home country 🇳🇴

We’ll always love travelling, but every now and then, home really is the best place to be. Even on a rainy late september evening ❤️

• Guestbook • Anyone else who loves it when hotels have a guestbook? We always make time to leave a little message for everyone who helps make our stay special.

Together with the atmosphere, location and design/architecture, it’s the people who truly complete the experience. A guestbook gives us the chance to make sure they know how much we appreciate the effort they put into making our stay as good as possible. 🤍

• ISCHIA • Miramare Sea Resort & Spa 🌞 Italian summer vibe at its finest. 🇮🇹

A little glimpse of the hotel interior, our room and the kind of effortless service where someone is always flying past on an errand for a guest. The hotel’s thermal spa is just a short (and complimentary) golf cart ride away, although the much nicer option is to walk along the water through the most idyllic little neighbourhood.

After a long day at the thermal spa, or a swim from the hotel’s own bathing platform, there’s really only one thing left to do: get ready for a long evening and enjoy a little aperitivo back in the room.

Not a bad way to spend summer. Especially for two cold Norwegians. 😅

• ISCHIA • A pretty perfect coincidence: a sailboat passing on the horizon while we were looking out from the Maestrale Suite at @faropuntaimperatore, a real, functioning lighthouse on Ischia.

We had such a great time here. The setting, the view, the quiet and the whole experience of staying inside a working lighthouse made this one of our favourite places from the trip. Definitely a place we already miss 💡

• ISCHIA / NAPOLI • One thing we’ll really remember from Ischia and Napoli is the people we met!

Ischia surprised us with how different each part of the island felt. From quiet Sant’Angelo and to busy streets in Ischia Ponte and Forio, every place had its own character.

Napoli was something completely different. Chaotic, loud, a little crazy, but also incredibly beautiful and full of history. And somehow, despite all the differences, we kept meeting the same warmth and friendliness in the people around us.

It’s often the people you meet along the way that make you remember a place. ❤️

• ISCHIA 👉🏻 NORWAY • Still dreaming about that magical evening at @mezzatorrehotel on Ischia, and all the incredible food we had there. ✨

One dish in particular stayed with us: ricotta-stuffed, deep-fried zucchini flowers. One bite and we got goosebumps. 🤌

So naturally, we had to try making our own version back home, inspired by @ischia and the amazing people who made our time there so special. 💛

A little less Mezzatorre, a little more our vegetable garden… but still pretty damn good. 😋

*No female zucchinis were harmed today 🤭

After weeks of salty swims, vibrant streets, endless ciao’s and a little beautiful chaos, there’s something deeply comforting about coming back to our own little corner of the world.

The sea sounds different here. The air feels familiar. The routines we once took for granted suddenly feel like a luxury.

Travel reminds us how incredible the world is. Coming home reminds us why we love where we belong.

Between the waves, centuries-old architecture, and the endless blue, you realize that the city’s famous chaos always has a quiet side too. 🇮🇹 What makes Napoli unforgettable is its authenticity. It doesn’t feel polished or staged for tourists. It feels lived in. Every neighborhood has its own rhythm, every corner tells a story, and every interaction feels genuine, even if it’s loud 🤌🏻
