Had a great time shooting @seurfc at their tournament at Baylor in Waco last Saturday! They came out undefeated with three wins and one tie. Hectic day but very eventful and a great four games for St Ed’s Rugby! by @theo_richard32

Coverage of Anti - Immigration and Customs Enforcement Protests in Austin, TX from January 8th through January 10th.

This is the first time I’ve attempted to cover a political event as a photographer. These photos were not used anywhere and I did not shoot with the intention of licensing anything. It was simply a personal project to challenge myself as a somewhat “green” photographer.

Note that these photos are meant to be objective and do not implicate anything about my personal political beliefs.

1. Protester waves a flag, others hold up signs at the intersection of Lamar and 45th street in Austin, a day after Renée Good was shot by an ICE agent in Minnesota. (Jan 8)

2. A mother and her son arrive at the protest on Lamar and 45th. (Jan 8)

3. Protesters hold up cardboard signs to spell out “STOP ICE” on the side of Lamar St. in front of ACGC. (Jan 8)

4. A protester gives a speech at the foot of the Texas Capitol as other protesters listen. (Jan 9).

5. Three protesters face Congress Avenue in front of the capitol, holding signs. (Jan 9)

6. Protesters yell and wave at traffic on Cesar Chavez in front of Austin City Hall. (Jan 10)

7. A band plays at the protest for a crowd. (Jan 10)

8. A protester holds up a sign with a photograph of Renée Good. (Jan 10)

9. A crowd of protesters applaud as Bryan Register, a professor of Philosophy at ACC finishes a speech in front of City Hall. (Jan 10)

10. Protesters line the sidewalk of Cesar Chavez in front of Austin City Hall with signs. (Jan 10)

Thank you for checking out my post and I hope you enjoyed! Any technical/stylistic feedback or tips from other photographers is greatly appreciated!

Got the opportunity to attend and photograph @seurfc this weekend! It was a great time, and I wanted to share my photos from it! First time watching rugby, and first time shooting actions shots for a sports event as well! Oh- and they beat UTD baaaaddd.
