Another hospital stay a week and two days after the last one. Two ED’s, Another 103 fever, ERCP to get things cleared out. Thankfully, Jeannette is home and resting up. Huge thank you to Michelle for taking care of her for the first leg of the trip. This never really gets easier or less scary. We have gotten a relative gauge for hospital stays, which is weird to say, and you also get better at them. Thanks again to all of the amazing nurses, nursing assistants, doctors, fellows and support staff, truly some lovely and caring people over there. by @theo_rules

Took another terrifying trip to the ER on Sunday due to another blood infection. Thankfully Jeannette responded to antibiotics and stabilized quickly after uncontrollable shivers/shaking and a 103 fever, acute sepsis. Another 6 days in the hospital, port removal, ERCP to clear things out. Still not sure exactly what caused it but we’re incredibly grateful to be home to rest up and snuggle with Hilde. Schuland North Shore Adventure September 2026!

We got to spend a few days on the North shore, saw the high falls at Grand Portage State Park, stopped at the Grand Portage National Monument, sailed and piloted the Hjordis out of the Folk School, ate at the Angry Trout and Poplar Haus had fires on the shore under the stars and met up w/our dear friend Becky at Docs on the way! by @theo_rules

Spent 4 days in the hospital, most of it in the ER and thankfully we’re home now resting up with Hilde. The situation still isn’t resolved but at least it’s no longer emergent. She had the 1st of two surgeries to hopefully resolve the biliary obstruction that caused the jaundice and fever that sent us to the ER in the first place. Back again next week for part two but hopefully outpatient.

We had incredible doctors and nursing staff taking care of Jeannette including a Czech doctor from a town that we’ve been to and I’ve played multiple times! (Brno? BrYES!)

We certainly would rather have been in Chicago with friends for the opening of the OPC but sadly, it wasn’t in the cards. We still watched and danced and cried from Jeannette’s hospital room.

Schuland North Shore Adventure May 2026!

We desperately needed this trip. Our first chance to get out of town since last summer when Jeannette was in and out of the hospital every month. Couldn’t do any hiking since I broke my foot but we managed to have fires and folklore on the shore, eat and drink our way up and down the Gunflint and even went for a swim in a boundary waters lake on an 80 plus degree day in May. taken in Lutsen, Minnesota by @theo_rules

I’m so stoked to get to play a couple of acoustic shows next month while @lossleadermpls is on a short break! I’ll be playing a bunch of new songs w/ a bunch of buds over the course of these 2 awesome shows. Come party!

Since we’re not really able to travel these days, We had a little mini adventure in town for Jeannette’s early birthday celebration! Dinner at Manny’s, Sunset & drinks on the Foshay observation deck, Amazing seats for probably the craziest wolves game we’ve ever seen. Crashed out and had breakfast at the Band Box! by @theo_rules

We went into the hospital for a scheduled ERCP yesterday for stent maintenance/removal/exchange etc. It was a long day but everything went well. Performed by Jeannette’s GI doc, Dr. Guru who we met the day he diagnosed her nearly 5 1/2 yrs ago. We’re incredibly lucky and grateful to have such caring and talented people like him on the team.

Also, if you vote for Republicans, you have voted to take away life saving healthcare for Jeannette. You have voted to send ICE to our city and round up the immigrant doctors and nurses that provide life saving healthcare for her. You are not welcome here - Tim. by @theo_rules
