What an honor to get to encourage the next generation. I had the privelege to speak at our campus wide Gathering @lipscombuniversity this week. Each student & human in this world is gifted, has passions, and a personality intended to bless others. Your yes, abounds in Christ and has a powerful ripple effect in your life & others. Embrace your becoming, find your being in Jesus. Let His Holy Spirit enliven and empower your life to be a 10 out of 10 in this world. Put on your breastplate of Righteousness & stand in the confidence of knowing you are Divinely approved (see last pic for metaphor of what that confidence can feel like). 😉 if interested, you can listen to the message linked in my bio.

She didn’t follow in my footsteps, she has been blazing a trail of her own since she could walk. A joy to see her smile & compete. Love you Keely. Colossians 3:23

Earlier this spring, I did a devotional with our team and I asked them the question, what is a caddie and who are you caddying for?

“A golf caddie assists a golfer during a round of play by carrying their bag, providing yardages, and offering advice on club selection and course management. They also help with tasks like replacing divots, raking bunkers, and attending to the flagstick. Essentially, a caddie acts as a guide, strategist, and helper, contributing to the golfer’s overall experience and performance . More broadly, a “caddy” can also refer to a container or holder for various items.” - Google

I then asked the team this question: Like a caddie, whose name do you get to represent and serve while you play and compete to bring them the glory instead of your own name?

One of the most freeing realizations in my playing career was discovering that there is more joy in playing for others and creating opportunity for them to get the glory than it was playing for myself and my glory.

So as we embark on a new season of Sports, let me ask you, who are you competing for? What other names do you get to represent and help bring glory to their name instead of your own?

In life, play to win, and do it ethically while serving others. Jesus has done this for us.

To taste the fruit of seeds sown by someone else is a quiet, beautiful blessing. 🌱🌺 Thank you @state_1878 @hardy @hailstate athletics for all you are doing to honor what has been, and cultivate what will be. We are so thankful to be part of the journey. #HailState by @theobs_squad

Tank appreciation post. His fave thing in Starkville (besides all the Dawgs), is a daily golf cart ride. Slide to see many of his begging faces to go for a cruise. 🛺🐾

Thank you @hailstate & fans for welcoming us & celebrating all State athletics so well! Our first football game is for sure one for the memory books. (If that T-shirt launcher goes missing - check OB’s @hailstatesoc office 😉) Go Dawgs! 🐾 #hailstate #cowbell taken in Mississippi State University Davis Wade Stadium by @theobs_squad
