Leave a little room between what you hear and what you believe.

This is a little encouragement for you to colour your online platform in the vision that you, and only you, hold.

Business people and entrepreneurs, I am talking to you.

How boring would an art exhibition be if they showcased the work of various artists which apparently all used the same tools, supplies and formula to create with?

Lead with your intelligence, experience and humour, not your compliance on autopilot.

I personally know people want to hear more about who you are and your unique convictions, not what challenge you’re taking part of online.

Storytelling is a forgotten art and “yapping” isn’t it.

We want to add knowledge to the human registrar not defile it.

Like lore, we once upon a time conveyed deep values in the messages we shared with our community.

I want to hear the songs you love (and grew up with) on your posts, the true reasons you’re in the line of work you’re in, how you were parented and how that affected your path - not what is trending.

Most of all, I want you to pause and keep an inventory of what’s entering your headspace once in a while.

It’s noisy out here but you can still find a way back to you.

Trust in yourself because how can people trust in you otherwise?

This Broker Open did not warrant a quick visit…yes, the charcuterie deserved many aerial snaps.

A lovely evening was had at Royal Bayview, generously hosted by @wamonteirogroup_, to preview Suite 217 offered at $3,590,000.

The company was excellent (the truffle cheese the talk of the night) but the apartment had a few reasons of its own to linger: approximately 2,375 SF, east, south and west exposures, and sweeping views over the Ladies’ Golf Club of Toronto.

Once upon a time I was told
I wasn’t a creative person.

That I wouldn’t understand the process
of making something out of nothing
or of devoting time to a passion.

I glanced over to my children, quite little then,
unassuming of what the adults were saying.

The decorations of the holiday
that just passed were still up.

Running on a solid four hours a night of sleep
(a golden stretch for a mother),
I simply smiled.

I looked at my children and knew better.

“It’s a regular Friday evening at home.

It’s bedtime for the kids and although routine is sacred here, tonight we push boundaries.

We play charades, then deeper conversation begins: the day’s events, new video games essential to survival and, inevitably - they are my children after all - some existential topic.

On this night, I’m trying to teach them about patience, a trait I feel I’ve mastered. After all, I am their mother (and a REALTOR®).

Tonight they’re preoccupied with a package that, for once, isn’t arriving with Amazon.

I let them know some things still need us to wait for them. I see their faces crinkle in disappointment that another casual talk has turned into a lesson.

I understand the inconvenience more than I let on.

For a split second, I picture myself at their age and the trepidatious feeling of not knowing what’s next overwhelms me...”
