⚡️ARTIST SPOTLIGHT: RENNO⚡

Our DNB QUEEN is back, and you already know she’s coming with the energy! 👑🖤

RENNO has been taking over stages and making her presence known, and we’re beyond excited to welcome her back to the Fluid Frequencies stage. If you’ve caught one of her sets before, you already know she brings the kind of high-energy selections that keep the momentum going and the dance floor moving.

There’s something special about the atmosphere RENNO creates behind the decks. She knows how to bring the energy, keep people locked in, and make every set feel like a proper reason to lose yourself in the music. We’ve loved watching her continue to make moves in the scene, and we’re ready to have that DNB energy back in the building!

Get ready to move your feet because our girl RENNO is back on the lineup! 🥁💥 taken in James Ballentine "Uptown" VFW - Post 246 by @theofficialrenno

Saturday was a hard day. Music, like many other mediums of art, can be a powerful catharsis and means of connection. It was such a pleasure to share a moment of expression, connection, and catharsis with you last weekend, all while raising funds for local rent relief.

As promised, all my earnings from the set have also been donated to local mutual aid - to a family whose father was taken by ICE, leaving them with no means of earning income. If you’re inclined to give additional financial support directly to locals in need, I recommend checking out @smittenkittenmn on IG for more opportunities. 🖤

Thank you to @simshows and @urbanagendahq for creating a safe space for us to be here for each other and show our solidarity through great freaking music. Big ups to Squiggles, @niteowlmusicoffical , and @nacht_music for throwing down killer sets, and to @braceemcee , @hyde_emcee , and @arion_lee_ for keeping the crown jumping on the mic. And thank you to all of YOU who came out and continue to show the strength of our community.

Keep standing up for what’s right, and stay safe out there. See you all out there ✊🏻.

Much love,
Renno 🖤

NEXT WEEKEND… I’m back, yall ❤️‍🔥

It’s cold outside, but there’s going to be plenty of heaters in here! Amped to chuck some rollers for you alongside Squiggles, Nacht, and @niteowlmusicoffical , AND we’ll have MCs Brace, Hyde, and Arion Lee holding it down!!

I’ll be donating everything I earn from this show to mutual aid for those impacted by the injustices and atrocities being committed against our community here in Minneapolis. Who keeps us safe? We keep us safe.

Let’s show out, get down to some heaters, and share in community together. It’s gonna be a good freaking time.

LETS DANCE.

What a gift to be part of such a powerful event. Dozens of members of the music community gathered together to listen to femme voices, to learn about the struggles women face in the local music industry, and to be part of creating a more equitable and supportive scene for everyone.
Thank you to @direct_support_mn @mikeratmusic and @eylxr_ for giving us all the opportunity for a unique and important discourse, and for all the heavy lifting to make such a wonderful event happen. Thank you to @doobsteprincess for facilitating a supportive and productive panel discussion. Thank you to @moduslocus for being a lovely setting for this session. And to those of you who were able to attend, thank you for showing your support and allyship through your presence. My heart is full of gratitude and hope.

Music is a safe space for ALL of us to come together and share our authentic selves. And from an artist’s perspective, sharing music with others is such a powerful, authentic expression of who we are. That’s not always easy as a femme/female artist in a traditionally male-dominated space. I’m honored to be teaming up with a group of lovely local women in in the industry to hold space for the unique experience of being women & femme folks in the music industry. All are welcome to join us in this uplifting, intentional experience. Join us on August 15th. Keep on shining your light.🌻 by @theofficialrenno

9 years of DJing and I’m still here 💖 this is the first time I’ve taken a creative hiatus for a while and man, after getting over the initial guilt of not constantly performing/creating on a regular basis, I truly feel like these breaks are necessary for longevity in any creative pursuit. Burnout is real, and it’s a passion-killer. Grateful for the past year of taking a rest & letting the flow come back naturally. I’m still here, still weird, & still the bass brat you know & love…. Just a lot more balanced. Happy to be here and charged back up ⚡️
