He asked: “Give us this day our daily bread”
not: “Give us a five-year emotional guarantee”

We have more control over the kind of days and lives we have than we realize. It starts with controlling the inputs. Then control your reaction to the inputs you didn’t have control over.

Notice how He was looking for the 1, not the 99?

The Bible does not always make sense to us when we read it, but it does when the Holy Spirit wants it to.

Stop letting Satan convince you to be quiet. Because Christ lives in you, you have authority to change the world. Speak when prompted and leave the understanding up to Him.

Why do we think we know someone after just one date?

Certainty makes our nervous system feel safe, but is that illusion of safety based on fact, or are some situations designed to be uncertain for a while?

The illusion of a safety based on the stories we tell ourselves, does not equal reality.

When it comes to entering an important relationship, whether it’s business, dating to marry, etc. it’s wise to accept that time is the biggest revealer of who a person is and this process should not be rushed.

Every second you spend trying to fix the wrong person, is a second you didn’t spend becoming the person who attracts the right one.

Love doesn’t transform someone into your future spouse. Their choices do.

Before you hand them the crown, observe who they are today, tomorrow, and allow time to reveal to you their true character… before getting yourself into a trap.

In order to find the one, you first have to become the one. What you expect of the world is often what you’ll get.
