September 30 is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day. 🧡

Today, we honour the children who never returned home, the Survivors of residential schools, their families and their communities.

At the Olympic Oval, we recognize this day as one of reflection, learning and an ongoing commitment to reconciliation.

We encourage our community to wear orange, take time to listen and learn, and reflect on the history and lasting impacts of Canada’s residential school system.

The Olympic Oval will be open for public skating from 2–5 p.m.

🎂 WE’RE 39 TODAY. AND WE STILL LOOK FAST.

The Olympic Oval is officially 39 years young — and naturally, we’re celebrating the only way we know how:

ON ICE. ⛸️🎉

Come skate with us today and help celebrate 39 years of fast ice, wobbly first laps, world records, Olympic dreams and a whole lot of Calgary memories.

📅 TODAY — September 27
⏰ 3:00–8:00 p.m.
📍 Olympic Oval

We may be 39, but thanks to all that ice, our pores are magnificent.

🎈 Come celebrate with us. by @theolympicoval
