En colaboración con modul, se abre convocatoria para participar en la sesión de improvisación audiovisual.
Entre los participantes, se seleccionarán a seis artistas sonoros y visuales para formar parte de la sesión de improvisación audiovisual modul, dentro de la programación de #volumens2026 , el próximo 15 de octubre en La Nau (Valencia).

Last Sunday marked the close of the third edition of MICME, the Interactive Art Festival of LABA Valencia, with a closing concert at Centro Cultural Nave 3 de Parc Central, by invitation of its director Miguel Ángel Jordán.

Ilgın Içözü led a directed improvisation with an ensemble formed by Theon Adam, Annabel Johnstone, Andrea Carrara, João Figueiras, Bianca Quigley and special guest Bilge Günay.

Light art compositions and projections were created by Diana Carmenate and Jana Tox, in collaboration with students Arwa Fayed, Luis Ponce and Maryam De Vries.

The closing concert paid tribute to the directed improvisation formats of the 2000s. Contemporary music merging with experimental sound.

The MICME Festival brought to a close the International Master in Multimedia Creation for Live Shows, a programme in which students from widely different disciplines and countries worked together for a year around light, interactivity, video scene and music.

Throughout the academic year, the master's programme also hosted a concert series in which faculty and students presented sonic works in dialogue with light art, video projections and laser, a commitment to placing sound art at the centre of the programme's practice.

We want to close with an enormous acknowledgement to all the faculty and students of MICME. What we have built together this year, inside and outside the classroom, is something we are truly proud of. Thank you all.

By exploring the perception of light within space, it invites viewers into an immersive environment where light and sound interact in harmony. Emphasizing the spatial qualities of the medium, it shapes perception through light in motion. Running in real time via TouchDesigner, the installation responds dynamically to sound, sculpting space moment by moment, creating a presence that continuously evolves.
