Only 90s kids (those who now have at least one kid 😄) and above will relate — baby ka naam rakhna kitna tough kaam hai yaar!

Ek to itne saare stakeholders hote hain — dadi, nani, bua, fufa, mama, mami… and not only does everyone have a vote, they also have veto power. 😅

Like any normal couple, humne bhi pregnancy ke time se hi naam sochna start kar diya tha. Baby hone ke baad naam announce bhi kar diya tha.

But then…

It got rejected by a door ke pandit ji, who was close to a door ke rishtedaar. 🤷‍♂️

So the naming process started all over again.

Humne ek WhatsApp group banaya, sabko add kiya aur bola ki naam suggest karo. Dozens of names aaye. Phir poll hua.

Result?

Not a single name could get even two votes. 😂

Situation ye ho gayi ki har stakeholder baby ko apne favourite naam se bulane laga.

At this point, we’d like to thank two very important stakeholders — Dada Ji and Nana Ji — for absolutely no contribution at all.

Unka stand clear tha:

“Hum discussion mein contribution nahi karenge, lekin question bhi nahi karenge. Jo naam rakhna hai rakho.”

Honestly, that’s fair. 😄

Finally, after months of multi-party negotiations, consultations, debates, discussions and roundtables, we all agreed on one name…
