Bachelor of Music, Music History. Jazz Voice Minor.

It’s truly a wonder to me how determination & faith will bring you back to your calling— no matter the path you take. Listening to Ella Fitzgerald & Louis Armstrong in elementary school caused a chain reaction that forever changed my life. Even though I started to out as a violinist and fell in love with classical music between 3rd & 4th grade, I was always singing because of the joy and therapy it brought me.

Long story short, I stayed with vocals and auditioned for the Jazz Voice area at Howard’s Chadwick A. Boseman College of Fine Arts with the few Ella songs I knew. I got in & 4 years (plus a concentration change to Music History) later, I graduated! Passed my Thesis presentation on Ella Fitzgerald with an A, and am just starting my education journey.

🎵Thank you to the faculty that continued to push me and supported all my visions— even when I bit off more than I could chew— those were all learning moments that allowed for growth.

🎵Thank you to the Delta Nu Chapter of Sigma Alpha Iota International Music Fraternity for the sisterhood and teaching me to find my voice while properly supporting it.

🎵Thank you to my family for traveling, always being in the audience for shows, and helping with every semester move-out and move-in.

🎵THANK YOU THANK YOU to my biggest supporter @jdub902 for always being there & surrounding me with nothing but love— through the highest of highs and lowest of lows (and there were a LOT of them 😭)

Much love to my Howard & frat family ♥️

Founded in joy & prospered through grief,
Always finding the light at the end of the tunnel

You’ve helped me realize how to keep going & the importance of rest
You became the moon to my sun
—and I the sun to your moon.

love is interchangeable, ever growing & blossoming

Love is intentional & can also be difficult & be a testament of patience with emotional maturity

Love is also life—although uncertainty lies ahead of the journey, your soul connection brings comfort in that uncertainty.

Despite the feeling of that connection being a lifetime already, has brought two years of growth, accomplishments & pure love

My love, here’s to two years of us & to a lifetime more ♥️
