This Saturday, we’re posting up at Happy Zine #28, a gathering of the ink-obsessed, the staple-committed, the “I’ll let me show you my zine real quick” crowd. Small presses, artists, printmakers, comic creators, and ceramicists, all under one roof, for one glorious afternoon of print-induced hysteria.

Past Happy Zine guests have reported having a “freakin great time”, eaten “hella good baked goods,” and listened to “music that’s a vibe.”

Lost an organ, published @lohimag Issue 05, added a fuzzy wiener to the chaos, and circled the sun one more time.

All in one month, somehow. I’m choosing to read the surgery as my body filing a formal complaint about my pace.

Lesson received. Apparently a candle has two ends but you’re only supposed to burn one! 🕯️Grateful for my husband, the magazine’s contributors, the readers, and my surgeon (roughly in that order.)

A designer caught between two worlds, @Ellebarbeito is the Schiaparelli of the swamp.

She hunts invasive pythons, processes the skins, and transforms them into couture garments worn by rodeo champions, musicians, and Montana’s reigning ranch queens.

All while rocking three-inch acrylics.

𝙲𝙾𝙻𝙻𝙴𝙲𝚃𝙸𝙾𝙽 #003: “𝚃𝙷𝙴 𝚂𝚆𝙰𝙼𝙿 𝙲𝙾𝚆𝙶𝙸𝚁𝙻 𝚁𝙴𝚅𝙸𝚅𝙰𝙻”

To debut her third collection, we collaborated with @plantpsyche to build a world that captured the duality of Elle’s practice. Refined but raw. Confident, yet dangerous.

Photographer @Nicholas.lattimore brought a fashion editorial lens that made the swamp feel like a runway.

And yes, there was a baby gator

Just when you thought you had enough of the red carpet towel, there’s more! The @beachtowelartshow is an open invitational during Art Basel in Miami Beach where artists make custom beach towels.
