Today is RUOK Day. And I think my month-long posting draught and absence on this account has made me realise that maybe I haven’t really been okay lately.

This is not only due to the fact that this year has been the biggest shift in my life in general, but it has also been very unexpected, in more ways than one. And as someone who thrives on my routine, and having always known what I want my life to look like, I have struggled to deal with it.

To be honest, I’m a bit embarrassed by this fact, and was even more hesitant to publicly speak about it.

Those who know me personally will know that I pride myself on always being driven and hard-working. So this feeling of “weakness” and uncertainty has really made me reflect further on my mental health and what I can do to protect my peace going forward.

But through every challenge and setback, one thing remains; and that is that I love to sing.

Being able to share my love of singing on this platform makes me unbelievably happy, and I’m so grateful for every beautiful soul in my life who never fails to support me.

So if you’re feeling the same way, I hope that we can be there for each other, not just on RUOK Day, but every day. Because you never know how much you could be impacting someone’s life.

Reach out to your loved ones. Offer support. And let’s never stop showing each other kindness, love and support.

Although I’m not 100% right now, I will be.

And so will you x
