As we reflect on this year’s Black History Month, we want to take a moment to step back in time and revisit a conversation we shared as part of the Jamaican Creative Network’s In Conversation series.
A moment to reflect on the voices, experiences and perspectives of the people who continue to shape, celebrate and amplify Jamaican culture across generations.

A special thank you to @s.adjani @kaynekawasaki @nicolemariexii

This Black History Month, we celebrate more than history as we know it. We celebrate the people who came before us, who paved the way, challenged barriers and laid foundations that we continue to build upon. We celebrate the people beside us, who are creating, innovating, preserving our culture and shaping the world around us. And we celebrate the people who will come after us, who deserve to inherit a legacy they can be proud of and spaces where they can thrive.

For us at the Jamaican Creative Network, celebrating our culture means recognising that our heritage is not something to revisit for one month of the year. It is something we live, breathe, share and carry forward every single day.
From our music, food, language and art to our stories, traditions, creativity and community, Jamaican culture has travelled across generations and borders, influencing the world while remaining deeply rooted in who we are.

Our culture is our history. Our stories are our legacy. And our creativity is part of how we preserve both.

Still can’t get over our Jamaica House Celebrations! 🇯🇲❤️

It was such a pleasure collaborating with @skytv and having the incredibly talented director @stormsaulter and actor @thedonshepherd join us to share their journey, experiences and the story behind Possession

@monikahlee sat down with two Jamaicans doing such amazing things in their respective fields and to hear firsthand about their creative journeys. Moments like these are exactly why we do what we do at JCN — creating spaces to celebrate our people, our culture and our creativity. 🇯🇲✨

And here’s your sign to WATCH POSSESSION!🎬👀

If you haven’t seen it yet, now is the time. Support Jamaican talent, support our creatives and go watch the film! 🇯🇲❤️

Have you watched Possession yet? If not, add it to your watch list — you won’t want to miss this one

Still can’t get over how amazing Jamaica House – Rum Rum! was! 🇯🇲🥃
A huge thank you to our wonderful sponsor, @windrush1027, for helping make the experience so special and memorable. ❤️

It was such a great opportunity to dive into the world of Jamaican rum through an interactive tasting experience presented by @kai_tango exploring:

The history and heritage of Jamaican rum
Traditional production and distillation methods
Tasting notes and flavour profiles
Pairing suggestions
Stories celebrating Jamaica’s rich rum legacy

Thank you, Windrush Rum, for your support and for helping us bring this experience to life. We truly appreciate you! 🇯🇲✨

A little look inside Jamaica House 🇯🇲✨ - one of a kind and created to celebrate what makes Jamaica so special.
This year, we switched things up and brought the experience to life across four rooms, each offering something different, from In Conversation and a rum masterclass sponsored by @windrush1027 , to making your own Ludi board with @homeradio._ and simply having a space to chill, vibe and connect.

More than anything, Jamaica House was about bringing people together, Jamaicans, Jamaica lovers, supporters of Jamaican talent and culture, and anyone inspired by what the island brings to the world. A proper intergenerational link-up, filled with good energy, creativity, conversation and community. 🇯🇲❤️
This carousel only scratches the surface of how great it was.

Stay following to see how it all went down… 👀
