Stepping into the courtyard of The George Inn feels like stepping straight back into the 17th century 🇬🇧

Tucked away off Borough High Street, this is London’s last remaining galleried coaching inn: a grade I listed beauty famously frequented by Charles Dickens (who even mentioned it in Little Dorrit). In the 1600s, travellers would pull up in horse-drawn carriages to grab a meal and a room for the night.

Today, it remains one of the most atmospheric places in London to sip a cold pint and soak up centuries of living history.
