THE OVEN’S FIRST VST IS HERE. 🔥
CRUSH. The engineering is under the hood.

This one means a lot to me. Our first VST, and my favorite bitcrusher.

More than five months in the making. We started building CRUSH back in May. Months of development, testing, rebuilding, and obsessing over the details you hear and feel.

Behind that faceplate: an envelope-tracked noise suppressor and soft-knee downward gate, with threshold-dependent quantization-error smoothing and dedicated low-bit de-click protection. Built to tame the hiss, popcorn crackle, and low-level discontinuities that show up when you push digital destruction into the ugly zone.

96 dB/oct Linkwitz–Riley clean-zone crossovers, computed in double precision. Crush the selected frequency band while protecting the sub and air, with filtering before and after the nonlinear stage to contain its generated artifacts.

Then there’s BS.1770-weighted automatic level matching, analyzer-informed sweep compensation, calibrated drive makeup, and five morphing waveshaping modes spanning stepped quantization, square, wrap, wavefolding, and FM-style glitch.

Translation: splintered transients. Chewy saturation. Metallic aliasing. Bass harmonics with teeth. An intelligent sweep that moves the texture while compensating for level changes.

Crush the mids. Keep the kick and the hats. Make it filthy on purpose and blend in the clean.

Built in Austin by The Oven.
Zero latency. macOS AU + VST3. Apple Silicon + Intel.

Cooking with CRUSH on a simple two-loop track. 🔥

Keeping the arrangement minimal so you can hear the drum-bus processing: parallel low-bit quantization, frequency-selective saturation, and Sweep/Rate automation.

Reshaping transient texture and harmonic density to pull new movement and character out of a basic groove.

We put DJ rigs and large PA’s on a bicycles,
so when you tell us the venue has no power, no stage, no dock, and it’s in the middle of a field, cool. what time’s load-in?

THE OVEN × COOLER PRODUCTIONS. new production crew, same obsession. we’re finally on to the next stage and taking the whole rig mobile.

🔊 PA (photo above) ☝️ and the engineers who know how to drive it
💡 lighting, uplight, club lighting
⚡ Laserszzz
📽️ projections
🔋 no power? we bring our own. generators, off-grid, anywhere.

Some examples:
→ DJ package
→ comedy night (mics, monitors, front light, done)
→ wedding, indoor or out
→ Theater, warehouse, canyon, field, or backyard
→ full production, the entire rig, live stream enabled.

Music videos… the beach? 🏖️… just name it!

got a tour? take the whole thing out. monitors + FOH engineer, LD, tour manager. we’ll pack it and go 🚌

Austin and everything around it. No hidden travel fee.

Farther out on the road or even international? we’ll quote it, roll it there, and light it all up.

anybody can drop off speakers. we send people who’ve mixed a thousand rooms with LD’s that view light waves as neo does the matrix.

🔥 the oven’s still cook’n, but it just got cooler.
💡 DM us if you have questions!
