There's power in our prayers to God. He hears all our prayers ( Is. 38:4-5, Psalm 139:4, 1 John 5:14–15, 1 Peter 3:12).

𝑹𝒆𝒏𝒆𝒘𝒆𝒅: At the end of my me time with Abba which sometimes take between 45 mins. – 1 hour just sitting in his presence (might be shorter, not casted in stone), I get up renewed and energized.

𝑯𝒆 𝒈𝒐𝒕 𝒎𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒓𝒐𝒖𝒈𝒉 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕;
𝑯𝒆 𝒘𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝒈𝒆𝒕 𝒎𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒓𝒐𝒖𝒈𝒉 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔! 💯

You lose time and the purity of your heart every time you blame someone else for what has happened, what has not happened, or what went wrong.

The enemy seeks to contaminate our hearts and keep us in a state of negativity and unproductivity, thereby preventing us from hearing God.

𝑲𝒆𝒆𝒑 𝒈𝒐𝒊𝒏𝒈 – the enemy’s objective is to train us to stay put and not work with the energy within us as children of God.

𝑻𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒌𝒇𝒖𝒍𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒔: Remember that he that has brought you through many things is able to take you through this one.

It helps to bring a lifting to your mood, hence your spirit.

💥Remember carefully all that the Lord has done.

💥Looking at the things that are yet to be done, really would not help. Rather, meditate on the many things he has taken you through and done for you that you have forgotten about.

✅For me, I sometimes go to my old journals or prayer request notes. This helps me to appreciate God more. I mostly find out that there are many things God has done for me that were once prayer requests but I have forgotten or didn’t remember it was once a prayer point.

↩️ Like things that happened when I wasn’t even looking out for it.

↪️ There were those request I wrote and looking back retrospectively, it really made no difference that it wasn’t fulfilled or God just did better for me. I don’t know if you ever have this feeling like, this really wasn’t a needed prayer point.

💥 This action makes me have a renewed mindset for the moment.

✅ Many of us are living in our answered prayers and the enemy creeps through our minds and makes us to not enjoy and be thankful for the moment we have longed and prayed for bur rather he puts on another thought on us of things not yet done and we become moody and ungrateful.

💥 𝑪𝒐𝒎𝒆 𝒐𝒖𝒕 𝒐𝒇 𝒊𝒕 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑺𝒂𝒚 𝑫𝒆𝒗𝒊𝒍 𝑵𝑶𝑻 𝑻𝑶𝑫𝑨𝒀! 𝑬𝒏𝒋𝒐𝒚 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒎𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒉𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝒑𝒓𝒂𝒚𝒆𝒅 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑩𝑬 𝑮𝑹𝑨𝑻𝑬𝑭𝑼𝑳.

𝗔𝗦𝗞: Whatever you ask in the name of Jesus, shall be done. And here, I just acknowledge that I can by my own self do nothing. Lord, I am not sure I know how to pray or what to say or even have the strength; but I cast all my cares upon you according to 1 Peter 5:7, Help me Lord! This is as much as I mostly have the energy to mutter up. Like, it's still a struggle to get up cz there’s no motivation other than – irrespective of, there’s a God that thought it makes sense to have me here on earth. But as it is now baami, make it make sense😵‍💫

𝐒𝐨𝐚𝐤-𝐢𝐧: Sitting in same position, I continue worshipping within my heart, in spirit and truth not holding anything back; I stay silent in the embrace of Abba. I just soak in his glory and take it all in having 2 Corinthians 3:18 at heart. Lord remove this veil that I may reflect your Glory o.

And then, I LET GO! 𝒜𝓃𝒹 𝓉𝒽𝑒𝓃, 𝐼 𝐿𝐸𝒯 𝒢🏵❢

𝐋𝐄𝐓 𝐆𝐎 – 𝐋𝐞𝐭 𝐆𝐨𝐝: “Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.” – we are all familiar with this and here is the time to truly practice it, when you have embraced his glory and have a renewed mindset. Thus is when you have the ability to apply the scripture in reality. While in flesh, it’s not easy to say, I don leave am to God cz every minute you are back to thinking about it. Even within the weeks I compiled this writing, I have had 2 overwhelming moments.

First, I practice this regular routine and the second time which wasn’t as deep as the first, I ate, did my bible study, slept half way through, woke up, finished my study write up, said a lil prayer and placed City of God on repetition. Only the grace of God allows us to truly cast our cares upon him. And because I place having the omnipresence feeling around me or asking for his help even in the littlest way I could, I always find it easy to just let go and trust him even when I wonder if it makes a difference.
Isaiah 60:22 rounded up with something that I trust 💯 in.

At the right time, I, the Lord, will make it happen!!!

First, I 𝐁𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐓𝐇𝐄!!!
After all my thought lines, rolling on the bed, trying to pray but not knowing where to start, trying to read the Bible—and it’s not flowing—I breathe.
Breathing allows me to think beyond the present, and I tell myself, Oyin, see that air you just took in or sighed out; you didn’t pay for it; neither did you give it to yourself. If he gave it before time, knowing that I would need it, then one thing is sure: he’s got my back 100%.

𝐀𝐜𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰𝐥𝐞𝐝𝐠𝐞: Next, I acknowledge that God knows what I don't. I cannot rush or force things to happen. So I get to that place where I know that I can by my own self do nothing; Worrying only consumes more of my energy and prevents me from doing what I should be doing. So, I let go of my worries and trust that God is in control.

𝐆𝐞𝐭-𝐔𝐩: I then physically get up from the worry train I am, whether it's the bed or chair consumed by worry, I move to my prayer corner. This is a special place where I connect with God, and I encourage you to have a similar space if they don't already. It's not necessarily a grand setup as shown in movies but a comfortable spot where I get to be alone in his presence.

𝐒𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐚𝐭𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐩𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞: Anxiety, worry, and the uncertainty we feel have a way of wrapping our atmosphere in their claws, which makes doubt creep in and, if not mindful, fear. Doubt wrapped in fear takes us 1,000 steps away from manifestations. Like, what did the Bible say about a double-minded person again? Yes, you are right. Now imagine how unstable your mind & environment already is. Thus, you need to take charge of your space

To counter this, I go to my playlist (I use Audiomack—find what works for you). I play worship music from artists like CeCe Winans, Dunsin Oyekan, & Victoria Orenze. This helps me shift my focus from my worries to the glory of God. Remember, I no get energy😆. As in really the way overwhelm does with me, I go just weak like someone who’s sedated. But when I decided to take hold of my space and shift my reality, the worship works on me from within because it activates the glory of God. The act of worship works within me and brings me some mindfulness. by @theoyindml

𝐏𝐢𝐞𝐜𝐞 𝟐3:I don’t know about you but being overwhelmed is a thing I feel once in a while🤦🏽‍♀️.

Like most times, I can’t even pin-point which of the many things I need sorted is even weighing in on my mind more. When its financial, there seems to be too much to sort and none exactly outweighs the other (imagine light, gas, fuel bill – which do you drop), and many times it’s not financially inclined, there’s just so much you want to do, want to happen, waiting for answers to prayers and you have tried all you can.

The latter can be so overwhelming coz most times we are just trusting God and hoping the answered prayer is here and now. It even makes us start asking the real ‘God When’ kind of question since all you can do is just wait, you have no other means to get it solved.
°
Being overwhelmed makes us too tired to move forward or push further. You know the saying, applying pressure? Yes, you feel like applying but it’s all in your heart and head. You never really move.

𝑾𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒅𝒐 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒅𝒐, 𝒘𝒉𝒆𝒏 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒅𝒐𝒏’𝒕 𝒌𝒏𝒐𝒘 𝒘𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒏𝒆𝒙𝒕 𝒕𝒐 𝒅𝒐?

𝑰 𝒉𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝒑𝒓𝒂𝒚𝒆𝒅 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒅𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕, 𝒃𝒖𝒕 𝒏𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒚𝒆𝒕.

🙏 By the witness of the Holy Spirit, tonight I want to appreciate the blessed Son of Abba, @dunsinoyekan . Your unwavering dedication to worship and service to God is deeply felt and appreciated by many. 🌟 The Upper Room experience you bring to us is an indescribable time of true worship, whether we watch from home or attend in person - the anointing is indeed heavenly.

Thank you for loving the Lord the way you do and showing us that true worship is achievable in any expression God has called us to be. You've elevated the worship ministry to a relatable level, and tonight's Upper Room experience was as always impactful and filled with His presence.

Thank you for releasing yourself to be used by God. We recognize the price isn't as easy as it looks, but this generation is grateful for the music and passion you've shared. Coordinating Upper Room in Lagos and Abuja monthly at no cost at all, is a true gift to the kingdom. The event could easily pass for a musical concert, yet you've chosen to give it all to God. God bless and honor you.

Daddy 😆😆😆, sorry Dunsin ( Those who attended Upper room tonight will get this gist), you've shown us what true worship is through your music and obedience to the Lord.
