Blue-green algae has been identified at Caldecotte Lake ⚠️

Please do not allow dogs into the water. If you come into contact with the water, please wash your hands. If you or your pets become unwell, please seek medical advice.

Not ridden your bike in a while? 🚲

Dust off your wheels and join us this Sunday (25 Jul) at 11am for a family friendly ride from the Floodplain Forest.

Our experienced bike ride leaders will take you on a scenic route through the Ouse Valley, along the Grand Union canal and around the nature reserve. We’ll go at a leisurely pace – covering approximately 10km in 60-90 minutes.

Don’t forget to check for ticks!

These small spider-like creatures are active in meadows and wooded areas, particularly during the warmer months.

While most bites are harmless, some ticks can carry infections, such as Lyme disease.

Help reduce the risks:
🕷️Stick to clear, marked paths where possible
🕷️Avoid brushing against long grass areas
🕷️Consider using insect repellent
🕷️Check yourself, children and pets for ticks after spending time outdoors.
🕷️Remove any attached tick promptly and safely using a tick removal tool or fine-tipped tweezers.

As well as caring for parks, we also look after landscaped areas along some of MK’s grid roads 🌳

This work can pose challenges as it sometimes requires road closures which need to carefully be planned with our partners across the city.

We recently cut back vegetation along the V10 which opened sight lines making it safer for road users.
