There are so many things people tell you about motherhood… but no one really prepares you for weaning. 🤍

For the past 3–4 months, I’ve been trying to wean my daughter. We make progress for 2–3 days, but then she becomes so inconsolable that I end up breastfeeding her again. Every time I think we’re getting there, we find ourselves back at the beginning.

I know weaning is an important milestone—not just for the baby, but for a mother too. As our little ones grow, it’s important for us to take care of our own health and routines as well. But emotionally… it’s much harder than I ever imagined.

So today, I’m not posting as a creator—I’m posting as a mom who genuinely needs advice. 🥹

Finding out I was pregnant was one of the happiest moments of my life. 🤍
But little did I know, the first trimester would be a completely different story.

It was days full of vomiting, nausea, dizziness, anxiety and food aversions. Some days I couldn’t eat properly, and instead of gaining weight, I was actually losing it.

And along with all of this came so many little fears — Is my baby okay? Is everything going to be fine? 🥺

Everyone kept saying, “This happens in pregnancy.” But I slowly realised that every pregnancy is different, and every body goes through it differently.

I was happy, scared, overwhelmed and excited — all at once.
And because it was still so early, I was quietly going through it while keeping my pregnancy a secret from the world.

Looking back, my first trimester wasn’t easy, but it was the very beginning of becoming a mother. 🤍
