In keeping with our post yesterday about mental health, protecting your peace, and creating safer spaces online, we wanted to share a few community guidelines we feel are important moving forward.

Part of why we created The Pascal Pulse on Instagram was because we wanted a space away from the constant drama and pressure of social media, and instead focus on uplifting others, sharing positivity, and creating a community that feels enjoyable and supportive.

This is a fan space with no judgement and no policing, but it is a space where we all need to be mindful of keeping ourselves safe and helping others feel safe too. This fandom has brought so many people comfort, friendship, creativity, and joy, and we want to continue protecting that for ourselves and for others. 💜

Thank you to everyone who continues to help make this community feel welcoming, thoughtful, and safe.

Today, on the International Day Against LGBTQIA+ Discrimination, we’re holding space for our LGBTQIA+ readers, followers, friends, and everyone who deserves to feel safe, seen, respected, and celebrated.

Support is not just something we say. It is something we do.

It can look like speaking up against anti-LGBTQIA+ comments or misinformation. Respecting people’s names, pronouns, identities, and expression. Checking in on the people in your life. Learning, sharing resources, and helping create safer spaces wherever you can.

Pedro has always shown what it means to lead with love, support queer voices, and stand beside people as they exist fully and authentically.

The Pascal Pulse will always strive to be a welcoming and compassionate space for this community.

You belong here exactly as you are. 💜🌈

Before Pedro was Alex Serian in Behemoth!, someone else was originally set to take on the role. 👀

A scheduling change, a little movie magic, and suddenly, everything fell into place.

Who was Tony Gilroy’s original leading man? Swipe to find out, and see why Tony now believes Pedro was always meant to play Alex.

From this Sunday’s Pascal Pulse Editorial: our full Behemoth! review and our experience at the New York Film Festival.

After months of following Tony Gilroy’s Behemoth!, we finally got to see Pedro Pascal as Alex — three times in one unforgettable day at NYFF64.

Three screenings. Three different audiences. Two Q&As. A few completely surreal Pedro moments. And somehow, every screening gave us something new.

In this week’s editorial, we’re talking about Pedro’s performance, the music and memories at the heart of Behemoth!, the incredible cast, the cinematography, our NYFF experience, and, yes, the curls absolutely get a mention. 😂

Our verdict: ⭐️ 4.5/5

Swipe through for a little piece of Sunday’s newsletter.

Happy birthday, Javiera! 🎂💜

To many, Javiera Balmaceda may first be known as Pedro Pascal’s sister, but she is so much more than that.

She is an accomplished executive, a champion of Latin American storytelling, and someone committed to making space for women and emerging voices. It’s not just about being the woman at the table, it’s about helping make sure other women have seats there, too.

From La Casa de los Espíritus to the many stories and storytellers she continues to champion, today we’re celebrating Javiera for Javiera, her work, her vision, and the doors she keeps opening for others.

Happy birthday from all of us at The Pascal Pulse! 💜
