💔Zartan💔
On Monday, we had to say goodbye to our beloved Zartan. He was our best friend, our support, our family. 💔
In the morning, he suddenly fell ill, and by midday, we realized he was no longer comfortable. A ruptured cyst meant there was little we could do for him. With heavy hearts, we let him go.

Zartan was so much more than a dog. He brought joy, love, and peace into our lives. Despite all his medical challenges, he kept fighting with a strength that inspired us every day. His bright eyes, unwavering loyalty, and unique way of being with us will never be forgotten.

We already miss him in everything we do – the walks, the little routines, and the quiet moments. 💔 But we’re grateful for the 12.5 wonderful years we shared and for the endless love he gave us.

Rest in peace, dear Zarreken. You were our world, and we will carry you with us forever. 🖤🐾

Maandag hebben we afscheid moeten nemen van onze geliefde Zartan. Hij was onze beste vriend, onze steun, ons gezin. 💔
In de ochtend werd hij plots ziek, en tegen de middag zagen we dat hij niet meer comfortabel was. Een gesprongen cyste maakte dat we niet veel meer konden doen voor hem. Met een zwaar hart hebben we hem moeten laten gaan.

Zartan was zoveel meer dan een hond. Hij bracht vreugde, liefde en rust in ons leven. Ondanks al zijn medische uitdagingen bleef hij vechten, met een kracht die ons telkens inspireerde. Zijn vrolijke ogen, zijn trouw, en zijn bijzondere manier van bij ons zijn zullen we nooit vergeten.

We missen hem nu al in alles wat we doen – in de wandelingen, de kleine rituelen, en de stille momenten. 💔 Maar we zijn dankbaar voor de 12,5 prachtige jaren samen en voor de eindeloze liefde die hij ons gaf.

Rust zacht, lief Zarreken. Je was onze wereld. We zullen je voor altijd bij ons dragen. 🖤🐾 by @thepawsomeborders

Well, hello there! It’s been a while! 🐾🤎

We may have been a little quiet around here, but life has been going on as usual, with plenty of walks, little adventures and lots of doggy moments. 🍂🐶

Koda is still doing well, and things have been pretty stable lately! We’ve even been able to space out his physio sessions to once every 5 weeks. 🙌
Since switching to a cooked diet with selected protein sources, his itching and tummy troubles have improved a lot! His back issues remain stable too. The only thing I still notice is a slight asymmetry in his gait, but we’ll keep taking things one step at a time. 🤞

And then there’s our sweet Daiko, who’s slowly getting older. ❤️ Our walks may be a little shorter these days, but there’s still plenty to enjoy at home, from tasty snacks to little games and all the simple things that make him happy. 🥹

Wel, hallo daar! Het is alweer even geleden! 🐾🤎

We zijn hier misschien wat stiller geweest, maar ondertussen gaat het leven gewoon zijn gangetje, met heel wat wandelingen, kleine avonturen en natuurlijk veel hondenmomentjes. 🍂🐶

Met Koda gaat het nog steeds goed en blijft alles voorlopig mooi stabiel! We hebben de tijd tussen zijn fysiobehandelingen zelfs kunnen uitbreiden naar één keer om de 5 weken. 🙌
Sinds de overstap naar gekookte voeding met specifieke diersoorten merken we ook veel minder jeuk en darmklachten. Ook zijn rugklachten blijven stabiel. Het enige wat ik nog steeds opmerk, is een licht asymmetrische pas, maar we blijven stap voor stap verdergaan. 🤞

En dan is er natuurlijk onze lieve Daiko, die stilaan wat ouder wordt. ❤️ Onze wandelingen zijn misschien wat korter geworden, maar thuis valt er nog genoeg te genieten: lekkere snackjes, kleine spelletjes en alle eenvoudige dingen die hem gelukkig maken. 🥹

Long time, no see! 🐾❤️

We may not be as active here lately, but life at home has definitely not slowed down. 😉

Koda is still following an intensive physiotherapy program and, thankfully, he seems to be beautifully stable. We can enjoy our long walks and adventures together again, which means so much to us. 🌲🐾

There’s still some itching we’re trying to figure out, so we’ve recently adjusted his diet to rule out a possible food allergy.

For now, we’re just enjoying the good days, the long walks and all the little steps forward. ❤️

Lang geleden! 🐾❤️

Hier zijn we misschien wat minder actief de laatste tijd, maar thuis des te meer. 😉

Koda volgt nog steeds een intensief fysiotraject en gelukkig lijkt hij mooi stabiel te zijn. We kunnen weer heerlijk lange wandelingen en avonturen maken samen, en dat betekent ontzettend veel voor ons. 🌲🐾

Er is nog wat jeuk waar we mee bezig zijn, dus hebben we zijn voeding aangepast om een mogelijke voedselallergie uit te sluiten.

Voor nu genieten we vooral van de goede dagen, de lange wandelingen en alle kleine stapjes vooruit. ❤️ by @thepawsomeborders

We didn’t just share the most beautiful moments, we also navigated a period I so deeply hoped we’d overcome together. And look at us now...

Now that Koda is really starting to listen, he gets more and more freedom to roam. Funny how his ears suddenly work so well outdoors… if only he had figured that out sooner 😂

Today we enjoyed a beautiful 7.25 km windy walk through the forest, with the whole place completely to ourselves. No crowds, no noise, just nature, fresh air, and the best kind of peace. These are definitely the best walks. 😁🍃

Today we chose the moment 💛
No rules, no overthinking, just 7 km of exploring, sniffing and being exactly who he is.

And he loved every second of it 🐾
Now he’s peacefully asleep, hoping he still feels pretty okay after all the fun 🤞🏼

Some moments are simply worth everything.
