Reverence That Changes Everything
Reading: Ecclesiastes 12:13 | Proverbs 9:10 | Luke 5:1-11

The fear of the Lord is not the fear of a stranger. It is the reverence of someone who truly understands who God is. Ecclesiastes 12:13 brings us to the conclusion of all human searching: fear God and keep His commandments. This is not a burden placed on the weary. It is a direction given to the lost. When Peter encountered the miraculous power of Jesus on the water, he did not run. He fell. Reverence brought him low, and from that low place, Jesus called him to follow. True reverence does not paralyze us. It positions us. It removes the pride that keeps us from receiving correction and opens our hearts to obedience. Consider today where comfort has replaced conviction in your walk with God.

Reflection Questions:

Where have I become careless with something God takes seriously?
Does my daily life reflect the weight I give to God's words?
Am I coming to God for approval of my own plans, or am I coming to listen?

Tonight we witnessed God’s faithfulness in such a special way. Our pastor was unanimously voted in as official Lead Pastor of The Peak Community Church! 🙌

The hugs, the tears, the joy, and the love in the room said it all. We are so grateful to celebrate this moment with you Pastor! We love you, we honor you, and we’re excited for all that God has ahead.

What a day. What a community. What a blessing.

As we share the final set of photos from this year’s Rock the Riverfront, we just want to say THANK YOU one more time to everyone who made this event possible.

To every volunteer who served, every church that stood with us, every sponsor who supported the vision, every vendor and performer who participated, and every family and community member who came out — we are truly grateful for you.

What an incredible day at Rock the Riverfront! ❤️🙌

From all of us at The Peak Community Church, THANK YOU to everyone who came out, served, supported, sponsored, volunteered, prayed, gave, and helped make this year’s event so special.

Seeing families together, children smiling, churches serving side by side, local businesses supporting the community, and so many people simply enjoying the day was such a blessing.

A very special thank you to all of our volunteers, participating churches, vendors, community partners, sponsors, performers, and everyone who worked behind the scenes. Events like this don’t happen because of one person or one organization—they happen when a community comes together. ❤️

We are especially grateful to our sponsors and supporters who believed in the vision and helped us pour back into our community.

The 4th Annual @rocktheriverfront event this past Saturday exceeded our expectations! Our intentions were to cast the FCA vision & mission while connecting with #community. Little did we know, God had other plans! Our tent started with #Faith& sports conversations then turned into confessions of Faith & Prayer. 🙏🏽🕊️🤩
