Our beloved puppy dog Daisy crossed over the rainbow bridge yesterday. It was after four long months of her health degrading post a traumatizing injury that left her hind legs unable to move. If you knew Daisy, you knew that she was the sweetest, snuggliest puppy you ever met. Her favorite thing to do was to be snuggled up next to you or on your lap. She never met someone she didn’t try to lick. And she brought us more love, affection, and snuggles than we could ever hope for. She was what you dream of in a dog. I am so grateful and honored that I got to spend six years of my life with this beautiful little creature and my heart breaks that she’s no longer with us. Truly the loss of a family member. It brings me great joy to envision her and Duke running through fields in puppy dog heaven. We love you forever, sweet girl. 🐾❤️ taken in Los Angeles, California by @thephillipdaniel

We have lived lifetimes together just in these past 5 years. And we keep showing up for each other. Choosing each other. And working towards the future we dream about.

What 2025 taught me…

It taught me about loss.
Loss of identity. Loss of stability. And the overnight loss of something I spent nearly a decade building.

It taught me about resilience—
the exhaustion that comes with it, and the unglamorous but noble work of showing up for myself and my family through depression, anxiety, sleepless nights, and uncertainty.

It taught me that even amidst unimaginable loss and redirection, there are still countless blessings and unforeseen gifts every day.

And it taught me that regardless of the horrors unfolding in our country, our government, and the world, joy and purpose are still found in the day-to-day moments—through interactions guided by kindness, truth, and love.

Thank you to my wife, mom & dad and dearest friends and family for getting me through this year.

I pray that 2026 is a year of peace, healing, abundance, stability, and reinvention. by @thephillipdaniel
