This new 2025 remix, completed by @bsoord, revisits the album with renewed depth and clarity while preserving the tension and emotional weight of the original recordings, previously only available on CD as pat of the ‘Retracing Our Steps’ earbook now receives its first standalone release on CD & LP.

Originally released in 2008, Tightly Unwound marked a pivotal moment in The Pineapple Thief's development — balancing atmospheric melancholy with sharp dynamics, intricate arrangements and Bruce Soord’s increasingly confident songwriting. Widely regarded as one of the defining albums in the band’s catalogue, it helped establish the sonic identity that would carry The Pineapple Thief onto a global stage.
