POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Today @thepitnorth closes its doors after many years serving our central coast community. This gym has been my home away from home for the past 9+ years and the memories made here will last a lifetime. These photos range from my very first workout in 2016, to my first belt, to my first fight (and loss) to learning how to build myself back up, and persevering through some really grueling tests, to winning my first fight, and many more fights after that - to reaching the level of brown belt under @castlewilliamsmma. It was on these mats that I learned who I am and what I’m made of. It was on these mats that I was able to move through the grief of losing my little brother to suicide, and became the fighter and woman I am today. It was where my children played and laughed and grew over the years. It was where my passion project turned business @the.visual.knockout was born. It is where I learned the importance of movement and how powerful our bodies can be - and that by strengthening them, we strengthen our minds. I wouldn’t be who I am today without this place and these people. I will always cherish my time here. As this chapter comes to a close, of course we feel sadness, but I know that the winds of change will take what was created here and turn it into something new and beautiful. 💫

Got our last workout as a family in a gym where we have been there for 15+ years. Where both of my kids receive their junior black belt and where lots of memories and good habits began. We will sharish all our Ohana’s that we made throughout the years, but this isn’t over. This will continue. taken in Pit North MMA by @thepitnorth
