❤️ The heart of Thanksgiving is giving. This year, we’re starting our Heartsgiving efforts early so our community has plenty of time to come together and help make the holiday a little brighter for more than 450 local families. For many families, the holidays can bring extra challenges. Together, we have an opportunity to remind our neighbors that they are cared for, supported, and not alone. 🧡 Here are a few ways you can help: 🧥 Coat Drive
Donate new or gently used coats in all sizes to help keep local families warm this fall and winter. 🦃 Turkey Drive
Frozen turkey collections begin October 15 at both locations. Every donation helps put a Thanksgiving meal on a family’s table. ❤️ Sponsor Heartsgiving
Your support helps provide Thanksgiving meals, warm coats, and something just as meaningful - hope, kindness, and joy during the holiday season. When we come together, even the smallest act of kindness can make a lasting difference. Let’s make this Thanksgiving one to remember. Use the QR code or link in bio to learn more and find out how you can be part of Heartsgiving. ❤️ #communitysupport #coatdrive #turkeydrive #theplaceGA by @theplacega

The TRE is proud to support local organizations that serve children and families, and we're just as grateful for the support we receive in return! From our community partners at Forsyth Head Start and The Place to the wonderful mother-and-son volunteer teams from YMSL Forsyth, these collaborations make a difference! Working together strengthens our community, gives valuable resources a second life, stretches limited funding, and allows us to make an even greater impact. That's what community collaboration is all about—supporting one another while making a difference for others! Want to get involved in what we do at the TRE? We'd love to hear from you! www.teacherreuseexchange.org #ThankfulThursday #CommunityCollaboration #CommunitySupport @theplacega @forsythheadstart @forsythymsl taken in Forsyth County by @theplacega

We recently welcomed students from South Forsyth High School’s GROW program to our food warehouse to volunteer, and we had an amazing time with them! They were excited to help spread the word about our Top Pantry Needs for October, and we loved having them be part of our mission to serve our community. We also had the chance to chat with their bus driver 🚌, Jon, who shared how excited he was to see The Place partnering with the GROW students. Moments like these remind us that when our community comes together, great things happen! ❤️ Want to help fill our pantry shelves? Here’s what we need most this month: • Green beans • Corn * Peas • Whole, crushed & diced tomatoes • Tomato paste • Spaghetti sauce • Canned hearty soups 📍Drop off donations Tuesday-Saturday, 10 AM-4 PM, at either of our locations: 📌 2550 The Place Circle, Cumming 📌 829 Hwy 9N, Dawsonville Please note: We cannot accept opened or expired items. Thank you for helping us nourish our neighbors and strengthen our community! #ThePlaceGA #PantryNeeds #SouthForsythHighSchool by @theplacega
