Taking a look under the macro lens this morning at some hazardous "botrytis" - better known as bud rot - that grew on some waterlogged outdoor plants.

This is homegrown, but it's important to know how to spot dangerous pollutants including fungi, bacteria and other contaminants before you consume a product.

The stringy, fiberous strands of fungi is fascinating to look at, but present many potential health effects. taken in Burlington, Ontario by @theplantsapprentice_

During the final weekend of July, I had the opportunity to attend the @cannacrawl_hamont "Summerfest". Any event thrown by @cannacrawl_hamont are always some of my most anticipated events, and the summerfest was no exception.

The venue was filled with friendly folks, incredible products created by passionate individuals, and great memories being made.

The panel was very informative, as always. @highsocietysupperclub @angelina.blessed @bakingwhilebaking
@dr.iraprice @mimisjointjewelry spoke on their experiences using the plant we love as medicine, as a natural alternative to more common medicines that are often prescribed.

@mimisjointjewelry talked about her experience as a medical patient, @dr.iraprice
Spoke on cannabinoid health and specific cannabinoids that are potentially beneficial for certain ailments, as well as the hardships we face trying to get our medical system to notice cannabinoid medicine as a recognized form of medicine.
@angelina.blessed spoke on her journey from legacy to legal, and the struggles she faced to break through the barriers into legalization.

The free extract bars kept the event lifted, the food booths kept everyone full, and the live music had everybody vibing out together, enjoying our wonderful plant in a beautiful community of people in the warm summer sun.

July was one of my busiest months yet, & i'm beyond grateful for each and every opportunity that came into my life during this time.

I started this month with @headydabsupply 710 Toronto event, which was a blast. A community based sesh - style event, promoting extraction artists in our community.

Next, I was blessed with the opportunity to shoot a podcast interview with @dks.farms of @highpassionpodcast focusing on my legacy roots and how my journey turned into photography. This was the first video content i've ever done in front of the camera, and it was an experience with incredible people and conversations that I will always cherish. One of the July issues of @dankmagazine.ca found a new home, framed in the podcast studio ✊️

I attended @kind_magazine summer fair in the middle of the month, and had a great time networking with my retail industry friends and brands.

I got to shoot some photos at the grand re-opening of Burlington's first dispensary; @cloud.relm and create some great memories with the local Burlington community.

I rounded out the month attending one of my favourite events; @cannacrawl_hamont Summerfest, and got to catch up with some of my favourite community members, as well as meet many new passionate individuals. This event was a smash hit sucess and exemplified everything that I love about this plant, and plant loving community ❤️🌿🩷

I was featured in @dankmagazine.ca July issue, where I covered a story on @growupconferences @growupconference EXPO. This magazine came with me everywhere I went all month long, and I appreciate everybody who showed interest in checking it out.

Thank you to all the people who support me, and have provided me with these incredible opportunities. I appreciate you all! 🍃

I was lucky enough to get a few full page shots, and am absolutley psyched about it. I've brought the magazine with me to show off to 5 different events this month. If you see me at @kind_magazine kind fair, or @cannacrawl_hamont please ask to take a look at it!

Part 2 of the Toronto June @budbashcanada event, featuring some happy and elevated community members.

Here you can see the yandi pinata before it got cracked open, and many great friends hitting the consumtion zone to try out the @stundenglass rig/flower combination glass, before returning back inside to recieve samples, learn about products and watch the crowd go crazy over free merch and licensed producer's goodies from the pinatas. It was a great time for all. taken in The Parkdale Hall by @theplantsapprentice_

I had a blast attending the @budbashcanada event last week in downtown Toronto with great friends and an amazing, uplifted and positive community. The hosts were very kind and helpful, & they organized a great event.

The consumtion zone felt very old-school and the indoor part of the event was filled with booths, food and free products. Every hour or so they would bring a branded pinata filled with candy and LP's products on stage and break it for the crowd to go wild over. They also threw nugz/tribal swag and more merch into the crowd as well.

Overall the event had a very community based vibe in a cozy venue at the parkdale hall. I look forward to seeing all the buds at the next bash! taken in The Parkdale Hall by @theplantsapprentice_

Final photos from the Toronto 2024 @growupconference

Thank you to everybody who took the time to meet with me or allow me to snap photos, it was a great time meeting many new friends and seeing many familiar smiling faces. I walked away from the event excited, elevated, educated and with a bag full of goodies. Meeting Mila was an unforgettable experience I will always cherish.
