Polo Ralph Lauren World Cup collections, 1990s. Inspired by his sponsorship of the America’s Cup in 1992, Ralph created these CP-92 & 93 collections which have now become amongst his most iconic.

I’m pretty sure the CP stands for Polo Cup, but feel free to correct me on that.

Swipe through all of these if you have the time, some definite good ones.

(a) An original Nordstrom advertisement for the Polo CP-93 collection, 1992. This picture actually inspired me to really start digging for Polo imagery. It would be constantly re-posted & I thought, there must be more out there. It’s definitely still one of the best though.

(b) Carlton wearing a classic Polo CP-93 jacket on an episode of The Fresh Prince, 1993.

(c) A Polo-93 shirt featured in The Notorious B.I.G.’s Juicy video, 1994. This is one of the most mainstream Polo cameos for sure.

(d) Bruce Willis wearing a CP-93 hat in Color of Night, 1994. This one is crazy.

(e) A Polo CP-93 rugby shirt worn in Dr Dre’s Puffin’ on Blunts and Drankin’ Tanqueray, 1993. It’s rare to see Polo in west coast videos.

(f) The UMC’s One to Grow On, 1992.

(g) The USA team celebrating their America’s Cup win in Polo Ralph Lauren clothing, 1992.

Ralph Lauren Fall 2026 in Milan with some original reference points. Interested to know people’s thoughts on it as it’s gone so viral.

The red Formal Bear is back, wonder if it’s cashmere and priced at $1,250 like it was in 1992. I love the outfit in slide #3, based on some original Country and Sportsman items. by @thepoloarchive

The Polo Ralph Lauren Times, 1990s. This time there’s RL 92 Carlton sweaters for $325 ($800 today) and Polo K-Swiss hoodies for $137.50 ($340 today).

Read all about it. Interesting how the Fire Truck sweater was made for collectors, they got that right. by @thepoloarchive
