There is too much silence on a topic I will never stfu about. That silence is loud right now because this is not (and never was) a political issue. To see the brave people of my home state be brutally attacked while advocating for peace not only breaks my heart, but angers me knowing they shouldn't be the only ones making noise.

Everybody has the right to an opinion, but this is not about opinions it's about a difference in morals. Nobody is "illegal" on stolen land, and if the US having immigrants bothers you then you can go back to your country and gtfo mine.

On one side of my family I come from Mexican immigrant grandparents. The other side of my family has lived in California ever since it was part of Mexico. Regardless of the side, my bloodline is proudly indigenous to America, and equally as proud of our Mexican culture. This is our land, our culture, and we belong here just as much as anybody else with a dollar and a dream.

For those being silent and wish to speak up, don't be afraid to protest peacefully, catch up on some history, or ask questions. Social media posts aren't as performative as you think. You'd be surprised how many people just need to be educated. #VivaLaRaza by @theprincemula
