This isn’t your typical tribute song—the kind that just goes on about how great someone is or how flawless their work is. I’m sure everyone has heard all of that a thousand times since 1991. This one is different. Call it whatever you want, but this is about a lesson that traveled from 1991 all the way to 2026. It’s a bridge between one person’s story and the journey of a fellow songwriter; from the heart of a lyricist to the heart of someone finally stepping out of the shadows. It’s from one artist to a younger one.
I know it’s audacious of me to call myself this person’s apprentice and refer to him as my master. But let’s just say there are lessons passed down that don't need a public explanation—especially to those who wouldn't get it anyway. Call it overstepping if you want, but I’m posting this and breaking the barrier between "legend" and "ordinary" for a moment. I know how close they were, which is why he was the first person who came to mind after I finished these lyrics. Since the one this is for is no longer here to receive it, I just wanted to reach out and hand this piece over to him—regardless of whether he ever actually sees it or not. At least, in my own way, I’ve passed it on.
I’m aware it’s not some perfectly constructed English track, just as I'm aware this caption isn't perfect either. It’s actually my first time writing lyrics in English, and honestly, I’m just happy with whatever series of events led me to do it—I won’t get into the details because that’s a whole other story. I also know how absurd it seems to do this 35 years after his death, but like I said, this is just pure audacity. The audacity of an artist, maybe? by @theprinsesaahli

Since I started lyric writing, I’ve dreamed of asking questions to the songwriters whose lyrics served as my study guide, especially since I never had any formal workshops in this field. I’m not sure if that’s the "right" way to do things, but it worked, so I guess it’s fine. There are three of them: one band and two individuals.
One down! I’ve already done it with my favorite band of all time. 🥰 Huge thanks to Amber Studios and Ms. Jacque Manabat for the opportunity; I even ended up co-hosting unexpectedly. To be honest, I didn't expect to be able to ask that—my question was actually a bit messy because I couldn't explain it properly. Explaining things is really my weakness, and I accepted that a long time ago. 👌😆
A massive thank you as well to Sponge Cola for answering. If there’s another chance, I might have more questions for you, but let’s save that for when we’re just hanging out and chatting, haha!
As I said, one down—or maybe two, because one is literally "down" and I can't ask him anything anymore. As for the other one, he's so far away; I’d have to go all the way to the United Kingdom to reach him! 😭😆

🤣
nasira ko nang matindi 'yong kanta
🤣

Translation: I’m not doing anything and have nothing to do, so I dug through files that were still on my computer and previous chat conversations because I was looking for a song I edited a few years ago. What I didn’t expect was to find these—photos, edited, I think, back in 2020. Surely, those who knew me well can still remember them, especially the one who edited it. Relax! These are just fan arts, and I suppose you know who’s in the photo?

PS: Do not mind my english😂 by @theprinsesaahli

Hello Bagong Taon! 🥰 Happy New Year po sa lahat! 🧡 #UltraBlessed by @theprinsesaahli

Sa wakas! Tapos na ako! ahahaha! Iyan na ang last na ipo-post ko for this album, unless may ibibigay pa kayo sa akin, go lang, pero feeling ko naman wala na hahahaha! 😂 Na-experience ko rin iyong sea of lights! Yeheyy! hahaha, until now wala pa rin akong matinong caption, ganoon talaga, let the pictures and videos speak for themselves. Huwag ninyo na pansinin english ko! ahahaha! 😂 by @theprinsesaahli

🥰 Kayo na magsabi sino 'yan hahahah! by @theprinsesaahli
