🕊️Forever Living Through Me🕊️

My mother was more than my mother
she was my best friend,
my safe place,
and the one who gave me tough love
when gentle words weren’t enough.

She loved me for free,
without conditions, without a price.
Even through our ups and downs,
our disagreements and difficult times,
the love between us never disappeared.

We struggled together.
We survived together.
And no matter what life put us through,
we always found our way back to love.

My mother was blunt and honest
she would tell me about myself
at any given moment.
She never sugarcoated the truth,
and that is one of the things
I loved most about her.

She was beautiful like a fox,
powerful like a tiger,
with a presence nobody could ignore.
My mother wasn’t just pretty
she was gorgeous, inside and out.

Raised by the West Side
and the South Side of Chicago,
she carried the strength of the city
everywhere she went.
She planted that same Chicago toughness in me
the courage to stand tall,
the strength to keep going,
and the heart to love through every struggle.

Everything she taught me
is now a part of who I am.
Her honesty lives in my voice,
her strength lives in my spirit,
and her love beats inside my heart.

Though I can no longer see her,
I carry her everywhere I go.
She will forever live through me,
through every lesson, every memory,
and every step I take.

And when my journey here is complete,
I pray we reunite in the afterlife
where there will be no more pain,
no more struggle,
and no more goodbyes.

I just want you to know I love you with every ounce inside of me, but I think you know that, the real definition of a warrior I watch you go through so much in your life it gave me strength to see how you kept fighting through every battle, lady alpha, I got so much of you inside of me that me and you both seen it, my twin my mother my black queen, my friend words can’t explain how empty I feel inside looking at these pictures that I post feeling like my whole family died in physical form on this earth cause I will see you all again in the afterlife, but until then I will forever stand on my ten for my family my sister and my kids you all live through me. Im crying tears 😭 writing this post cause I’m living with permanent pain and every year it feel like it grows. Sometimes I ask myself when is me and my family going to catch a break from everything we have endure these last few years, this shit fuck me up but I gotta stay strong and grounded and just keep living for me and the family and the Money can’t even take the pain away, it’s like I’m living with a permanent chip on my shoulder for the rest of my life. Mentally, I have to deal with it and find balance for not just me but for my people and my loved ones. I will be the glue. I will keep this shit together, not for me, but for y’all Mama especially for you and my pops, I will forever love y’all.
