Utilizing mock scrapes and historical scrapes can help you get data on most bucks in the area. It’s a great tool that I use regularly

Beyond excited to chase these mountain deer again. Early season can be one of the most successful times to get on a mature buck. Good food sources close to bedding

Another shed season in the books. It was a tough season. A lot of factors affected deer movement during shedding season, causing some antlers to be in unpredictable places. I was still able to get a good pile stacked up. All of these are Pennsylvania public land mountain sheds. Not pictured are the sheds I let the squirrels continue to destroy

I was feeling behind the 8-ball this turkey season. Having missed the whole first week had me uneasy about harvesting a bird on state land. We flew in from Utah at 2am this morning and got home at 4am. Having no sleep for 27 hours, I was really debating on staying in and sleeping. With a heavy dose of caffeine and some ambition, I hit the woods. I had some camera intel on some toms in the area. Struck 2 longbeards in the first part of daylight. After some sweet talking, I convinced both of them to come check me out. Before I even realized my PA turkey season started, I had a tag punched. (11 7/8 in) beard, my longest state land beard to date. Picture creds to the one and only @bluequillmedia @grantmichcreative taken in Michaux State Forest by @thepublicchase
