Today, we stand in solidarity with the Nolan Wells Blackout and the continued call for answers surrounding his death. Nolan Xavier Wells was an 18 year old student and football player at Southwest Mississippi Community College. On July 4, 2026, he traveled by boat with a group to Horn Island off the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Nolan did not return with the group, and his body was discovered two days later. Both the state and an independent autopsy left his cause and manner of death undetermined, raising continued questions from his family and the Black community. On September 21, a Jackson County grand jury declined to bring criminal charges. Nolan’s family continues to call for further investigation and answers surrounding his death. Today, we remember Nolan for the life he lived and stand with those continuing to seek answers. #NolanWells was 18 years old. I’ve always had a love for hoodies. There’s just something about a hoodie that can be comfortable, timeless, and still make a statement. Thanks to @purposelypressedapparel I can do that now 🫡 So I’ve been working on creating a line of hoodies that feels bigger than just merch. I want every piece to speak to the brand, represent what I believe in, and reflect the times we’re living in. One of the first messages: COMMUNITY IS THE CURRENCY.
