🍋There is nothing quite like a bright, sunny day 🌈to inspire a fresh and zesty bake 🍋.

✨️ Lemon 🍋 cakes will always have a special place in my heart as they are a perfect treat for a sunny day, with their bright, citrusy flavour and beautiful presentation, including edible flowers 🌸🌼🌞 or other decorations that evoke a sense of a summer garden✨️✨️✨️

This Lemon, Vanila and Honey 🐝 sponge cake is infused with natural citrus oils, and it's lightly frosted and beautifully crowned with fresh, rustic daisies🌼, making it look like a slice of a sunny summer☀️ garden.
Whether using real edible 🌷✨️🌸flowers, pressed chamomile blossoms, or piped buttercream petals 🌸🥀🌸, the daisies give the cake a playful, handcrafted, "picked-straight-from-the-meadow" charm 🍋🧚‍♀️🐝✨️

During the " The Literary festival" we were invited to support " The Book Hotel" 📚 at the newly decorated Falstaff with our NEW Afternoon tea menu 🥂🍰🫖.

The main theme of the new QoR " Floral Bloom" Cream tea was Edible flowers 🌸🌺🌹🌼💐and it was created in celebration of our British Spring time 🌅💕.

In our sweet bakes we incorporated strong spring time flavours like lemon 🍋, elderflower , rhubarb and strawberries 🍓 and decorated them with edible violas, cosmos, roses 🌹and violets🌸. For the Tea selection we paired the sweet treats with fragrant, seasonal brew's such as Earl grey, Darjeeling, or herbal infusions like White Peony or Hibiscus, Rose and Sweet Berries🍓.

Served in the elegant surroundings of the beautiful Falstaff Hotel in Addington Street, this was the floral-inspired twist on a classic British tradition. From careful cake layers to the exquisite delicate finishing touches, every pastry was handcrafted with precision ⭐, creativity ✨ and attention to detail ⭐.

"The Queen of Ramsgate" is now available for hire, for a variety of events - from garden Birthday parties 🍰, Restaurant Pop ups 🍾, Baby showers👶, Private Summer🥂 parties and many, many more...

✨️My absolute favourite way to celebrate the beginning of summer solstice 🌄 is by making solstice cakes with pressed edible flowers such as violas 💜, pansies 🌸 and roses 🌹.

This is a classic, rich Coffee ☕️and Walnut 🌰 cake to pair perfectly with lazy summer mornings and long evening 🌜 sunlight✨️.

🧚‍♂️ It's a traditional favourite that offers the best companion to any solstice 👌🍰🧚‍♀️ morning coffee or tea 🌼.

✨️ We are happy to announce that "The Queen of Ramsgate" will be supporting “The Book Hotel” during their Literary Festival 📚. Starting this Saturday 23rd of May 2026 - at the newly decorated Falstaff Hotel in Addington Street, Ramsgate.

The theme of the Cream tea 🫖 is edible flowers to celebrate British springtime – and is called Floral Bloom 🌹🌸🏵🌼💐.

As the winter chill melts away and nature starts to awaken around us, there is no better time to indulge in the joys of baking.
Expect traditional classics🎂🥞🍰 featuring delectable savoury bites and fresh locally sourced fruits with delicate floral notes such as edible cosmos and violets🌸, to accompany a chilled glass of bubbles 🥂 or a carefully chosen selection of teas.

This is The QoR’s first afternoon tea Pop-up in Ramsgate and we hope it is going to be a great success for the local area ✨️🙏🏽✨️. Please come and support us so we can make this an ongoing event.
With your encouragement for the Book Hotel, we will make this a regular Book Lover’s must visit destination in Ramsgate.

Floral Bloom will be served between 3-6pm on the opening day 23rd of May and the closing day 30th of May.

If we have sunshine🌞, you can always enjoy the afternoon in the beautiful Falstaff back garden 🧚‍♀️.

Eurovision night, the Falstaff way ... three platters and a full bar! Dress up and join us!! Neil will be leading the evening ... he is sewing his costume ...

Saturday 16 May, the scoreboard goes up and so do we. Chef Dee has put together three sharing platters to see you through every key change, costume reveal and questionable jury vote. Pick your nation, pick your platter, pair it with a Falstaff Prosecco and settle in.

I. Look Mum No Computer: £16.50 for one · £26.50 to share
Cured meats (salami, prosciutto, ham), bacon and Applewood Cheddar muffins, pierogi, houmous and tzatziki with olives, our Queen of Ramsgate rosemary and Celtic-salt focaccia, and a heap of crisp French fries.

II. The Veggie Platter: £13.50 for one · £24.50 to share
Leek, cheese and thyme polenta muffins, spinach and feta spanakopita parcels, toasted mozzarella, tomato and pesto on QoR focaccia, with French fries.

III. The Plant-Based Platter: £13.50 for one · £22.50 to share
Mushroom and lentil sausage rolls, locally grown crudités, beetroot houmous with olives, cherry tomato and caramelised onion focaccia muffins, French fries.

Sam's Backing Singers (sides to round things out): houmous £2.50 · tzatziki £2.80 · Falstaff spring salad £5.50 — peas, cucumber, rocket, feta, mint, lemon dressing.

An Art Deco Triple Chocolate 💫 cake is a luxurious 🎊, decadent dessert featuring rich dark chocolate, geometric designs, and metallic 💛 gold accents 💛, reflecting 1920s glamour💫.

We used high-quality cocoa, buttermilk and a coffee for a moist texture, with a glossy chocolate glaze finish. The colour palettes were black 🖌and gold 🌟, white 🎨 and gold with plenty of lustre dust, pearl drops, and edible gold glitter (my personal favourite 🤭😆💫 )!!!

🥂Our first but not the last birthday cake in the Art Deco series🥂.!!

💫 It is a fantastic theme that brings the glamour of the Roaring Twenties into modern patisserie
