Meet the face behind the Queen Experience - Hey Queens! My name is Jay, your skilled and established braider. My passion for transforming clients started when I was only 13, and I have been lifting crowns with the Queen experience since 2023. It brings me to tears to think about how hard I have worked and pushed to continue to elevate and expand my brand. I was the kid who had several bad hairstylist experiences, who then decided to take on the rewarding role and challenge of being a professional stylist, to make the difference that my younger self never saw. I started out watching YouTube tutorials and soon found myself in the neighborhood aunties chairs learning and copying their techniques. During high school I worked and took volunteer placements in several salons, and then went onto get my Level 1 Hairstyling by the age of 19. My goal is to create your desired look - through comfort and confidence, that is why I provide everything to complete a service. From shampoos to braiding hair included, your only requirement is to bring yourself!! I am so grateful to experience all the ups and downs, and to experience the lovely clients that have shared tears, laughs, tea and rants along the way 🥲😭. I look forward to another year of growth, challenges, & teaching - as i’m now able to teach girls who are in the same position I once was.
