footage from my last hike :) and a little update on how i’ve been. i have an amazing life im so grateful for and never want to complain. i am so fortunate. but alas, life does become overwhelming at times… and i have a tendency to hold myself to the goals/plans i make in the beginning and then feel like a captive in my own life… when i have all the power to change it. :) coming back to the zone soon.

sometimes you just gotta drive 3 hours to hike a cliff edge and sit by a pretty waterfall 🤷🏻‍♀️ good for the brain good for the body.

Lake St Clair was definitely a more expensive campground than I generally like to go for BUT it was worth every penny. 💰

To start - the lady at reception was lovely! Friendly and smiling. This makes a difference to me. The little shop had some items for sale if you forgot snacks, or other camp items. Firewood also available. 🔥🪵

The second best thing for me was the amenities!!! Not only was there a bunch of toilets and showers but they were SO CLEAN. And the place was packed. Sometimes I’d honestly rather pee in a bush than use a public toilet bc they are NASTY. These were absolutely amazing to me. It was luxury lol 🚽🚿

And then there’s the site itself. Right by the lake… absolutely stunning. Strict rules on noise and respecting your neighbours and it felt safe. 🏕️

There’s no service but it’s a short drive to town and I usually download music/shows before heading out. 📱🚫

Special mention again to the lady at reception who extended my checkout to 5pm!!!! So I could go explore. I thanked her and she said ‘of course, go enjoy your day!’ 🥹🥰

That alone would make me wanna go back. A gorgeous place!

Don’t get me wrong, I have some incredible plans for this Canada move! 🫣😍 but these trips have made me realise I never fully appreciated the beauty of Australia as much as I should have. So much of my own country I haven’t seen, and knowing it’ll be here to explore whenever I come back has never excited me more. 🥰

One of my favourite life lessons I’ve learned was to stop waiting for other people to be free, to show up, to show interest.. to do the things I wanted to do. And that is why the last few years of my life have been filled with adventure and fun and core memories.
And it’s not always that people let you down. It’s that their priorities are not always exactly where yours are. Which means at times that experience is not the most important thing to them and that’s OKAY! Because if it is to you, then you should absolutely go anyways. And that’s why I do. 🥰🥲
