A vulnerable share in honour of prevention month. 🤍 I wasn't going to share this on here but I remembered there is beauty within vulnerability and if we reach even just one person, then every part of my story was worth sharing. Thank you, Jesus, for saving my life. And thank you to all the incredible people who stood by me throughout my darkest years. You know who you are, and I am forever grateful. Many highs and lows, grateful for it all.

This time last year we took our baby boy, Isikeli home to his homeland Viti, for the first time. Unfortunately, it was not for the reason we planned. ❤️‍🩹 This was the homecoming we prayed for, but never the one we imagined. Ezekiel was only 2 months old here and his Tai was meant to meet him just one month after he passed. No words could ever describe the weight of this bittersweet moment. We love you forever, Ta Maika. 🕊️

Throwback to the last long distance surprise. 🥹 My husband thought he was picking up his sister, Nanise but instead it was me. 🥹
For context, 2023 - 2 days after we got engaged, we did 5 months of long distance. And again in 2024 - 2 days after we got married, we did 3 months of distance again. Now - living together with our 1 year old son. There's a big community of people who know how hard visa processes can be for certain countries, (Fiji in this instance) the struggle is reallll. We are not exactly where we want to be (yet) but in this video, I surprised him one last time with no plans of ever doing distance again. We built this life from nothing, and I wouldn't change any of it. After countless airport goodbyes, we now spend our days with our bundle of joy. Our proof that 'one day' eventually comes.

Joy comes in the morning, in our @tav_pacific 🌺💗✨ Originally a June '23 maternity shoot, turned couple’s shoot after losing our angel a couple months before. We almost cancelled but I’m so glad we didn't. Turning it into a couple’s shoot brought us a glimpse of joy and reminded us of the strength that carried us through one of our hardest seasons.

Even if He doesn’t, our hope is in Him alone. 🤍
October 9-15th is baby loss awareness week/a time to remember our angels so here's one of our testimonies. 🥹
Right before Mother’s Day 2023, we faced the heartbreaking loss of our first baby. It was the hardest thing we’ve ever walked through physically and mentally. Then in 2024, God blessed us with our rainbow baby. 🌈
To bring our baby to Fiji to lay his Whenua and Vicovico right beside his sibling’s coconut tree and to reflect on carrying him in the womb to meet his sibling’s tree in Rarotonga, leaves us in awe of God's goodness. Grief and joy can coexist. To anyone walking through loss this week, you are not alone. 🕊️
The song got us through and this is a cover by Eunice, Zeke's beautiful & talented Nei. ✨

Happy Sigatabu, everyone. 🌺
Sharing this here today in honour of Momo Maika, Tabai's late father. He played such a special role in shaping the man my husband is and the foundation of our marriage. Blessed to carry his Bibles and be able to learn Fijian in his honour - reading it for the first time was my small way of keeping his memory, faith, and love close to our hearts. I initially started sharing this on Tik Tok and wanted to honour his memory here too.

Someone recently asked me why I’m learning Fijian, and with Fijian Language Week coming to a close (although we won't stop sharing) , it felt like the right time to share my “why.” 🥹
It is such a blessing and an honour to not only learn and walk in my own culture (I look forward to sharing more about my own culture too), but to be so lovingly embraced into a new one. As a wife and a mother, I want to be able to hold this space for my husband, and to pass it down to our boy so he grows up grounded in who he is. 🇫🇯✨
