Clay Hill, Florida

A new luxury retreat is taking shape in Florida’s countryside, with a vision centered around wellness, hospitality, agriculture and a slower way of living.

Clay Hill is planned as a roughly 550-acre destination across Pasco and Hernando counties, with approximately 130 hotel keys, a wellness spa, multiple dining concepts, a clubhouse, chapel, equestrian facilities and a limited collection of estate-style residences set on 1.5- to 2-acre homesites.

The project draws inspiration from places like Blackberry Mountain and Soho Farmhouse, pairing elevated hospitality with a strong connection to the land. Much of the property is expected to remain preserved, while farming, farm-to-table dining and existing cattle land become part of the guest experience.

Horses will also play a central role, with plans for an equestrian component and opportunities for guests to ride on property or potentially bring their own horses.

For residents, the concept extends beyond the home itself. Trails, wellness programming, gardens, dining, recreation and community gathering spaces are intended to create a lifestyle that moves easily between the residences and the surrounding land.

The project is still in its early stages, with regulatory work expected ahead of construction and an anticipated opening around 2030.

A very interesting example of where luxury hospitality is heading: less about excess, and more about space, privacy, wellness, land and community.

This project has been found and curated for The Range readers.

Luxury is no longer confined to products. It is becoming place.

From branded residences to fashion pop-ups and hospitality collaborations, the worlds of luxury, culture, and real estate are merging faster than ever. The strongest developments today are not just buildings. They are ecosystems built around identity, experience, and aspiration.

The future belongs to projects that feel culturally alive. by @therange_group

TGIF by @therange_group

The equestrian estate is no longer a fantasy property. It’s where the next chapter of luxury is being written, and everyone from hospitality operators to monster brands is starting to pay attention.
I sat down with Andrea Knowles of @equine_residences to break down why this shift is happening, what the numbers actually say, and what it means for the world we both live and work inside.
