June is Mental Health Month, and it's something that hits close to home for me.For most of my school life, I was bullied. I've gone through the uncertainty of moving between countries as a kid growing up, experienced relationships that left more scars than memories, and spent years trying to figure out where I belonged. Along the way, I tried therapy, had difficult conversations, and faced parts of myself that I used to avoid.The truth is, there isn't a finish line when it comes to mental health. Even now, I still have bad days. Days where self-doubt creeps in, where old memories resurface, or where life simply feels heavier than usual.But when I look back at everything I've been through, I realize every challenge helped shape the person I am today. The people I've met, the friendships I've built, the opportunities photography has given me, and the moments I've been able to capture all make the difficult days worth pushing through.If you're struggling, know that progress isn't about never having bad days, it's about continuing forward despite them.Be kind to yourself. With sooo many new people think i need to do a new one of these, so hello I am allan a photographer based on the central coast.I love photography because it lets me meet incredible people while capturing the beauty of the world and the stories hidden inside it. I’m not chasing fame or trying to become the next “creative guru” on Instagram, i’m just here to help people, make memories last, and experience life through the lens.If we shoot together, expect good vibes, bad jokes, and me getting way too excited when the lighting looks cinematic for two seconds. Such a fun shoot, really leaning into doing portraits nowadays its opening up a new route of creativity that i'm really loving. Sometimes you just get invited into a space, pick up the camera, and enjoy the process.I was lucky enough to shoot alongside my good friends Allan and Shaun during one of their portrait sessions at Ted’s World of Imaging. The guys set up the whole thing, and I was really just there to participate, observe, and create.This set of the beautiful Angelina came from that day.There is something refreshing about walking into a shoot without needing to control every detail.
