DE ⬇️ So happy to finally show you my @minervadotcom exclusive Poppy dress! I was so keen to make it, I find it very flattering and elegant - the perfect high summer dress! ☀️ it’s actually a really good time to post it here on Instagram, not only because it’s hot outside and this dress has been a lifesaver in the warm weather, but also because all Minerva exclusive sewing patterns are now available as pdf files! That’s amazing news for all sewists who live outside the UK 🥳 I loved making this, it came together really well and I love wearing it too - it’s light and has two patch pockets that fit my sun glasses and my phone 😁 This is size J, no mods. The fabric is a real stunner - this Minerva exclusive Rice stripe dobby consists of 60% olive fibres (leftovers from olive oil production) and 40% cotton, which makes this fabric sustainable and innovative. At 100gsm it is quite lightweight and drapey. The striped weave is so gorgeous, just have a look at the details. It also gives the garment a bit more structure. The fabric is super soft and feels great on the skin and I find it has a cooling effect. The print is named „Subtropic Serenity“ 🌴 DE 🌴 Die Schnittmuster von @minervadotcom gibts jetzt auch als pdf, juhu! Die Preise für einen Papierschnitt plus Versand und Zoll waren echt unverhältnismäßig, aber so sind die Schnitte jetzt endlich weltweit zu vernünftigen Konditionen erhältlich. Dies ist das Poppy Dress in Gr J ohne Änderungen am Schnitt. Ich finde es wunderschön, sehr vorteilhaft und leicht und es hat zwei aufgenähte Taschen vorne 😎 Der Stoff ist auch von Minerva und etwas ganz besonderes: er besteht aus 60% Olivenfasern (Abfälle aus der Olivenölproduktion) und 40% Baumwolle und ist somit sehr nachhaltig und innovativ. Er fühlt sich großartig an und hat bei der Hitze einen kühlenden Effekt. Es ist ein leichter Stoff, der aber durch die Streifen Jacquard Webung etwas Struktur bekommt. EN ⬇️ Im Mai war ich in Münster und habe den wundervollen Shop von @maries_kit_fabrics besucht - das war soooo toll! Alles dort ist traumhaft schön und inspirierend. In der Restekiste habe ich diese beiden Stoffstücke gefunden, die für mich einfach perfekt zusammenpassten und unbedingt mit mussten 🥰 Aus einem Meter Jersey ein Tshirt zu nähen war jetzt keine Kunst, aber wofür reicht ein knapper Meter Leinen? Bei vielen Shorts Schnittmustern ist für meine Größe ein höherer Verbrauch angegeben. Und dann kam das Probenähen zur @lillesolundpelle Shorts Valencia No 104 - ich dachte, ich versuche es einfach. Mit etwas puzzeln haben die Teile auf meinen Stoff gepasst, ich musste nur den Bund in zwei Teilen zuschneiden. Ich bin echt begeistert von der Shorts - sie sitzt super, ist total bequem, trägt nicht auf und hat große Taschen. Tatsächlich habe ich sie schon vor dem Urlaub rauf und runter getragen und jetzt bei der Hitze ist sie natürlich optimal. Und dann aus diesem super weichen Leinen in den mega schönen Farbtönen! Besser geht’s nicht. Die Shorts kann man auch als Culotte nähen und das steht auch noch auf meiner Liste. Das Shirt aus dem Croissant Rippjersey ist eine Laura von @pattydooblog mit einem Ausschnitt auf die feine Art - den Schnitt nutze ich seit Jahren immer wieder 🩷 EN 🇬🇧 In May I visited the @maries_kit_fabrics store in Munster - a dream come true! Everything she sells is beautiful and I found so much inspiration browsing the shelves. I bought these two remnants as I thought they go really well together. Making a tshirt with a metre of rib jersey was no problem but what was I to do with a metre of linen? Finally I found that it was just enough for the @lillesolundpelle Shorts Valencia no 104, I had to play pattern piece Tetris but it worked out fine. I love these shorts and have been wearing them on repeat! They are super comfy and have big pockets 😎 The linen fabric is just gorgeous in those lovely colours, it is super soft 🥰 The T-shirt is the @pattydoo.english Laura - a tried and true pattern 🩷 #lillesolwomenno104 #lillesolundpelle #linenshorts #leinenshorts #shortsvalencia by @there_c_sews

EN ⬇️ Probier‘s mal mit Gemütlichkeit 🎶🎶 Jetzt zeig ich euch noch einen Schnitt, der mich den ganzen Urlaub lang begleitet hat - das Shirt Solea von @lillesolundpelle #lillesolwomenno103 ❤️ Es ist oversize geschnitten, super gemütlich und ich finde den V-Ausschnitt einfach perfekt! Rundhals ist auch mit drin, aber ich bin beim V hängen geblieben und habe gleich drei Exemplare genäht: ein Shirt aus einem Viskosejersey von @naehkind , das perfekt zu meinem Lillesol Knopfrock (No 40) passt. Nicht wundern, da ich zwischen 4 Größen gradieren musste, sind vorne Abnäher die eigentlich nicht dahin gehören 😇. Und dann noch zwei Exemplare, die ich einfach um 30cm verlängert habe und als Nachthemden nutze (letztes Bild) - ich sag’s euch, einfach perfekt dafür! Auch die beiden Nachthemden sind aus Viskosejersey und durften mit in den Urlaub. Kann euch den Schnitt nur sehr an Herz legen, ich lebe Tag und Nacht darin 🥰 Alle Fotos sind zu Hause entstanden ❤️ P.S.: morgen kommen zwei neue Lillesol und Pelle Schnittmuster raus - eins davon habe ich auch noch Last Minute für den Urlaub genäht und ich freu mich so sehr es zu zeigen! EN 🇬🇧 Look for the bare necessities… 🎶🎶 Here’s a pattern that I made three times before going on holiday - the super cozy oversize tshirt Solea by @lillesolundpelle . I love the V-neck and it’s a very quick sew! I made the first tshirt to match my skirt no 40 by @lillesolundpelle and then two more (last photo) which I lengthened around 30cm and am using as nightgowns. DE ⬇️ Mexico meets Scotland. 🇲🇽🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🧡 Orange is not really the best colour for me, but I love it all the same and I could not resist when I saw this wonderful design by @melissalowrydesign . Its name is “Estampas rojas” and shows her Mexican roots, isn’t it stunning? It’s available @minervadotcom on an endless choice of fabric bases. I went for a viscose challis and wanted to make a true summer dress. The Grace dress pattern by @abby_sews and Marsha Styles seemed perfect, it’s so cute with those bows! I omitted the pockets as I’m not a huge fan of pockets in viscose dresses. I put a label on the back so I can quickly tell which is front and back when putting it on 😆 I really like the contrast of this high summer dress and the Scottish landscape (photos taken on North Uist, Outer Hebrides). What do you think? 🧡 DE Dieses Kleid habe ich noch Last Minute vor dem Urlaub genäht - ich kann es hier nicht wirklich tragen, aber ich dachte für Fotos bildet es einen schönen Kontrast zur schottischen Landschaft (fotografiert auf North Uist, äußere Hebriden). Der Print stammt nämlich von @melissalowrydesign und ist von ihren mexikanischen Wurzeln geprägt. Bei @minervadotcom kann man ihn auf einer schier endlosen Auswahl von Stoffen drucken lassen. Ich habe mich für eine leichte Viskose entschieden, denn ich wollte unbedingt ein Sommerkleid nähen. Der Stoff hat es mir einfach total angetan, ich finde den Print so schön! Und ja, Orange ist nicht so ganz meine Farbe, aber ich liebe es trotzdem und für ein Sommerkleid finde ich es auch absolut ok. Der Schnitt ist das Grace Dress von @abby_sews / Marsha Styles, das fand ich so süß mit den Schleifen 🥰 die Taschen habe ich weggelassen, das mag ich grundsätzlich bei Kleidern aus feinen Stoffen nicht so gerne. EN ⬇️ Endlich Urlaub! ☀️ Und endlich kann ich euch mein Kleid nach dem Schnittmuster 4918 von @deinschnittmuster.de zeigen, das schon vor etwa einem Monat genäht habe. Leider war das Wetter zu Hause dann so schlecht, dass ich das Kleid zum fotografieren mit in den Urlaub genommen habe. Bei @deinschnittmuster.de gibst du deine Körpermaße beim Kauf an und der Schnitt wird für dich persönlich konfiguriert, sodass du keinerlei Änderungen mehr vornehmen musst. Ich war so gespannt, ob das funktioniert! Ich muss nämlich immer was am Schnitt ändern, allein schon wegen meiner Größe. Und, was soll ich sagen: es sitzt perfekt!! Ich habe tatsächlich nichts ändern müssen und zudem finde ich den Schnitt besonders und richtig richtig schön. Ein ganz besonderes Hemdblusenkleid! Nur den Ärmelriegel habe ich etwas gekürzt damit der Knopf nicht ganz so hoch sitzt, das finde ich schöner. (Letztes Bild) und ein Mini Video findet ihr auch am Ende des Beitrags. Normally I always have to alter something because of my height, but not this time. I love the style of this shirt dress! DE ⬇️ I won this light cotton fabric in this year’s #sewaprilblouse26 challenge and I gasped when it arrived - all the way from @cloth_edit in Australia. It’s truly stunning, I love the warm colours, the foxglove print, and the subtle jacquard texture. Initially I wanted to make a maxi dress (I had about 5m of this fabric) but then I realized it’s a perfect match for my @stitchmaiden Belladonna skirt and wanted a @stitchmaiden Kalina blouse to go with it. My Kalina is a size 46 and a mesh up of views A and B. I think it’s the cutest blouse ever! Also I have enough fabric left for a dress 🙃 Thank you so much for this amazing prize, dear Gabrielle! 💙💜🧡🤍💚 DE Diesen Stoff habe ich bei der diesjährigen sewaprilblouse Challenge von @cloth_edit gewonnen. Er ist aus Australien um die halbe Welt gereist und ich habe erstmal nach Luft geschnappt, als er hier ankam! Es ist eine traumhaft schöne leichte Baumwolle mit Jacquard Webung. Ich liebe den Fingerhut Druck und die warmen Farben, aber auch einfach das seidige Tragegefühl. Aus meinen 5 Metern wollte ich zuerst ein Maxikleid machen, aber dann habe ich festgestellt dass der Stoff perfekt zu meinem @stitchmaiden Belladonna Rock passt und dann musste es einfach eine @stitchmaiden Bluse Kalina werden. Dies ist Gr 46 und eine Mischung aus Version A und B. DE ⬇️ What if… the sew fruity challenge by @blossomsandwich took place in autumn? I’m sure apples and pears would be on top of the podium! But since we’re doing it in June, it’s no surprise that citrus fruits and berries are super popular. Actually I love apple fabrics but find myself reaching for lemons and oranges for the challenge every year. I could not walk past this beautiful deadstock cotton lawn which I found @jusasuj.design 🥰 and made this blouse with it. It’s not completely opaque but a lot less sheer than I expected and feels super silky, I love it! Unfortunately I can’t recommend the pattern so I’ll keep it to myself. 😇 I have another lemon make that I still need to photograph, so let’s hope the Scottish weather will grant me an opportunity for that. DE ⬇️ While I’m on vacation, just a quick post for #sewfruity26 hosted by the lovely @blossomsandwich 🍋 I am once again on team lemon this year! The cotton jersey is from my stash and I love how the print is a bit like a porcelain pattern. This is my favourite tshirt pattern from Purpurnaht, a designer who unfortunately is no longer in business. I made it last minute before leaving for our trip to Scotland, I thought I’d take something summery with me despite the difficult Scottish climate 😆 I’m based in Germany. DE Dieses Jersey Shirt habe ich noch kurz vorm Urlaub genäht, um ein Stück Sommerflair mit ins kühle Schottland zu nehmen. Der Jersey von @frvjulie ist aus meinem Vorrat und der Schnitt ist mein absoluter Favorit für Tshirts. Leider gibt es ihn nicht mehr zu kaufen, weil die Designerin Purpurnaht ihren Shop aufgegeben hat 😢 Aber ich halte ihre Schnitte in Ehren. EN ⬇️ Vallta. 🥰 Ich packe meinen Koffer und nehme mit… Vallta! So heißt der neue Schnitt von @hansedelli und es ist mal wieder ein Geniestreich. Genau so etwas hat mir schon immer gefehlt. Eine smarte, modulare Kosmetiktasche die ich auf meine Bedürfnisse anpassen kann. Man näht hier eine Basis (groß oder klein) und dazu passend die Module, die man eben benötigt. Diese werden mittels Klettband an der Basis befestigt, können aber auch einzeln abgemacht und genutzt werden. Ich habe meine große Basis mit zwei großen „Boxy bags“, zwei großen RV-Modulen und drei Klappenmodulen bestückt. Könnte das aber jederzeit ändern. 🙃 Das Nähen hat mir sooo viel Freude bereitet! Wie bei einem Puzzle fügt sich alles zusammen. Und ja, es ist viel - aber nicht schwierig! In Lisas Anleitung wird einem jeder Schritt glasklar erklärt. Sie erläutert sogar mehrere Schrägband Techniken. Mein Mann sagt: „Cool, dann kann ich meine Waschsachen ja einfach bei dir mit rein tun!“ 😆 Vernäht habe ich eine sündhaft teure beschichtete Baumwolle von @libertylondon , die ich mal in Belgien gefunden habe. Die Kombistoffe hatte ich schon im März bei @kaethemeier in Köln gefunden und das Zubehör ist größtenteils von @snaply.de ❤️ EN 🇬🇧 This is #vallta , the latest bag sewing pattern by @hansedelli (available in English and German). Lisa’s patterns and instructions are the most brilliant and simply the best I know in the bagmaking world. There’s nothing better, period. Vallta is a modular toiletry bag that can be adapted to your individual needs. You sew a base (big or small) and then several big or small pouches that are attached to the base with Velcro tape. But you can easily take them off again and use them separately. I loved making it, it came together like a big puzzle and just makes me happy. There are lots of steps and pieces but none of it is complicated and Lisa’s instructions are immaculate and easy to follow. She even explains several different techniques for working with bias tape! EN ⬇️ Summer‘s favourite ☀️ Bei @lillesolundpelle ist ein neuer Schnitt erschienen, das Kleid No. 102 „Catalina“. Ich war sofort schockverliebt in den wunderschönen Schnitt. Die unter der Taillenblende versteckte Raffung finde ich genial und ich lieb den V-Ausschnitt 🥰. Es ist so ein richtiges Sommerkleid, perfekt für meinen Lieblingsleinen von @merchantandmills ❤️ Genäht in Gr 44/46, Oberteil 2cm verlängert bei 1,82m Größe. Sonst ist alles nach Schnitt. Und ja, die Knopfleiste ist am Oberteil jeweils um ein halbes Karo versetzt - das ging leider nicht anders, sonst hätte ich deutlich mehr Stoff benötigt. Dafür ist am Kragen alles perfekt 🥰 (letztes Bild). Ich überlege immer noch, die Ärmel etwas kürzer zu machen. Und dann hätte ich gerne noch eine Version mit Flügelärmeln aus Viskose…. 🥰 EN 🇬🇧 This is a new sewing pattern by @lillesolundpelle , the dress no 102 “Catalina”. I fell in love with it the instant I saw it - I love the V-neckline and how the skirt gathers are hidden! I immediately thought of my favourite @merchantandmills linen for some serious summer vibes 😆 unfortunately the button placket doesn’t pattern match with the bodice but I didn’t have enough fabric to do better. The back is perfect though (last pick) if I may say so myself. DE ⬇️ #sewfrugal26 It’s release day, yay! 🥳 This year, I made an outfit and I am obsessed with it 🙃 Beautiful makes don’t have to cost much and I love seeing everyone’s makes for this challenge by @theyorkshiresewgirl and @frugalisama . It’s so inspiring! ❤️ My makes are the Tilda blouse, a free pattern by @maisonfauveuk in a @libertyfabrics tana lawn that I received as a Christmas present last year. The pattern is the perfect way to enter the world of Maison Fauve. The skirt is the famous @matchymatchysewingclub Ballet Bow skirt in a lovely petrol blue linen from @thekindfabric which I bought last year. The skirt is a very easy make (rectangles only, no need to print anything) but so special! I love it so so much and am very happy to have discovered the pattern thanks to this challenge ❤️ I’m in Germany. DE Hier ist mein Outfit für die sewfrugal26 Challenge: es geht darum, für ein neues Stück nur Ressourcen zu nutzen die man schon hat oder kostenlos sind. Die Schnittmuster müssen gratis erhältlich oder selbst erstellt sein und die Stoffe aus dem Vorrat. Bei mir ist es dieses Jahr geworden: Die Bluse Tilda von @maisonfauve aus @libertylondon Tana Lawn, den ich letztes Jahr zu Weihnachten bekommen habe. Der Schnitt ist ein richtig guter Einstieg in die Welt von Maison Fauve ☺️ Der Rock ist der Ballet Bow skirt von @matchymatchysewingclub aus Petrol blauem Leinen von @thekindfabric (letztes Jahr im Sale gekauft 😅). Ich liebe den Rock und bin super froh, den Schnitt über diese Challenge entdeckt zu haben - er ist simpel (nur Rechtecke, man muss nichts drucken) aber so effektvoll 🥰 Da sieht man wieder, schöne Teile müssen nicht viel kosten. ☺️ #tildablouse #blousetilda #balletbowskirt #maisonfauve by @there_c_sews

DE ⬇️ Belladonna This new skirt pattern by @stitchmaiden was released last week and it’s fab! 😍 I am a huge fan of Stitchmaiden, their patterns are so good with lots of attention to detail and always offer many different options and variations. The instructions are detailed and easy to follow. Belladonna is a modern version of the Victorian walking skirt, now available in sizes 34-58. I made view C with the gathered back, panel pockets and a decorative detail on the front. I really like how the skirt falls! It closes with a center back zipper and buttons. My fabric is a moss green linen from @thekindfabric , I just love that colour. 💚 It was hard to choose though, The Kind Fabric has an amazing range of beautiful linen fabrics. 🥰 Worn with my @lisetailor Easy Peasy Top in @minervadotcom x @melissalowrydesign exclusive cotton lawn „Flores de Medianoche“. ❤️ DE Belladonna ist der neue Schnitt von @stitchmaiden - letzte Woche erschienen und jetzt in den Größen 34-58 erhältlich. Es handelt sich um eine moderne Interpretation des Viktorianischen Gehrocks und wie immer bei Stitchmaiden bietet der Schnitt super viele Variationsmöglichkeiten mit Liebe zum Detail an. Die Anleitung ist sehr ausführlich und super gut verständlich - so kann man sich mit nur einem Schnittmuster viele verschiedene Kleidungsstücke nähen. Ich habe Version C genäht mit gekräuseltem Panel hinten, Paneltaschen und einem dekorativen Detail vorne. Ich liebe, wie der Rock fällt - er ist schön voluminös. In der hinteren Mitte wird er mit einem RV und Knöpfen geschlossen. Den moosgrünen Leinen habe ich letztes Jahr bei @thekindfabric gekauft.
