🐓 Annie understood the assignment!!! When I didn’t think this community could get any better…. 😭

On the eve of snakes and ladders finishing @there_may_be_bugs Annie (Founder No1) pulls up with her chickens to get a move on the board 😂🫶🏼🤯🧡

Annie you just made a lot of people so happy. Thank you for coming Pepper & Toast we love you!!!

I LOVE THIS COMMUNITY SO MUCH!!!!!!! by @there_may_be_bugs

I mean, look at this chair, it’s so multi functional and has so many seat positions and I’m not kidding, it’s so comfortable!

The Victorians knew what they were doing when they designed chairs.

With someone in our house who’s just had a knee replacement, I know they would love this right now!

This Antique convalescence chair belongs to @there_may_be_bugs and she bought it from @desiredeffectantiques

Go take a look at their stock, I guarantee you’ll find something you love! by @there_may_be_bugs

Garden to Bowl!
My first garden to bowl workshop, covering cutting and conditioning flowers, and then arranging them in a bowl (using chicken wire).
With thanks to Caroline, Audrey, Ellie, Fran and Erin, you were all so up for the experience.

A stroll around the garden…which is full of colour and texture.
Special thanks to @thesouthwestlondongardener, their work in the back of the garden has made gardening a pleasure again.
Sadly no sign of @jakethegingertom this afternoon, but he is loving the garden and is probably hiding out there somewhere.
And, of course @johnjenkins3417 has been actively involved this year, which has also made it all so much more manageable.

Late spring flowers from the garden. I cut them, I put them in water, they fragrance my home naturally. #gardenflowers #hamptonflowers #gardeningorganically #organicallygrownflower #grownnotflown

Found this on etymonline.com 1590s, shrub of genus Syringa with mauve flowers, with French lilac, Spanish lilac from Turkish leylak (the tree reached Western Europe via Istanbul), perhaps from a native Balkan name. Attested from 1791 as a color name; as a scent, from 1895. As an adjective, "pale pinkish-purple," from 1801. by @there_may_be_bugs

I adore spring.
Join me on a jaunt around my garden.

One day at Maison Jenkii.
Started with a great online workout with @katesmartfitness followed by coffee on the balcony in the sun.
The joy of crisp white bed linen drying in the sun, and gardening Côte d’Azur style.
Lunch, my every day salad, including more than 10 plants, and dressed with my homemade mayo (thank you @abigailbruce for the inspo, I always have some in the fridge now).
A post lunch stroll to the beach, didn’t swim today, the breeze was a tad chilly.
More gardening then my handstand practice, as always now deeply influenced by @davjonesyoga ‘s AWARE mentorship. And, of course , a little yoga ‘noodling’ thank you for that perfect expression @soul_star_spirit and @clareteedyoga for the years of guidance that have led me to a comfortable self practice
A light supper of mushroom soup, with scrumptious pain ancienne from our favourite local boulangerie. (Cleaning up after myself using @made.kind products of course)
And finally, I might just finish the jigsaw this evening.
A day in the life…or a life in day! by @there_may_be_bugs

#longweekend #niceenneige #Auron #skiweekend

What a memorable, for all the best reasons.
@thethrivologist and I flew into Nice & headed up to the mountains to Auron. We skied consistently (over 30k a day) on great fresh snow, often finding ourselves cutting tracks and completely alone on vast pistes.
I learned that doing a handstand in ski boots is challenging, but straddling up to a headstand was relatively ‘easeful’!
And to assure you, the handstand on the balcony, with a proper drop, was nowhere near as perilous as it appeared, it was bio mechanically impossible for my to ‘tip’ over, and the back of my head was gently resting against the very secure bannister by @there_may_be_bugs

With apologies for the sound…another ‘zip’ through making an arrangement.
This time I used some tulips I picked up at Sainsburys, along with greenery and fragrance from the garden. I arranged in my hand so that I could pop the bunch into a jam jar to take to a friend (jam jars fit nicely into the cup holder in my car, transportation issues resolved).
I’m not sure that I got this recording right, sound, camera position and indeed clear instructions🫣#britishflowers #grownnotflown #supermarketflowers

To confirm…I’m doing an handstand a day, every day, for another year.
Today is 380 of 730!
The footage shown here includes me holding a straight handstand for 10 seconds, then a sped up 72 seconds of being on my hands, a good 20 second free hold in diamond shape, the shape inspired by my story from one year ago- when I could only dream of freestanding holds of 5 seconds, certainly not the 20,30 & 40 second holds I have achieved.
Special thanks to @lindsay.ratcliffe of @heartspaceyoga.co for the introduction to @davjonesyoga
Enrolling in Dav’s #AWAREMentorship has been the biggest factor in the improvements I’ve seen over the last 12 months.
Excited to see where #handstandaday takes me this year.
(And Dav is hosting a handstand workshop at Heartspace Twickenham on Saturday…of course I’ll be there!!!) by @there_may_be_bugs
