📚Book Review📚

Frankenstein - Mary Shelley
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Mary Shelley has written one of the greatest novels of all time, so it feels silly to write a review for “Frankenstein”, but that will not stop me from sharing my thoughts.

I love gothic horror and it doesn’t get better than “Frankenstein.” The ambiance is top tier, the vibes are immaculate, and the writing is incredible. It’s dark and deliciously gothic. I especially loved the chapters on the creature’s POV. This is a story that truly makes you think. About kindness, accountability, and responsibility. About playing God. I had the honor of reading this with my best friend and the discussions were endless, some of which were rich in in-depth analysis while others were thoroughly ghoulish. Our biggest and most important takeaway: Frank is a drama queen.

This is a story I can certainly see myself going back to time and time again. Now if you’ll excuse me, I am going to rewatch Guillermo Del Toro’s “Frankenstein” yet again.

🦇Selfie Sunday🦇

Happy Sunday!!! I had such a great time yesterday. The gang finally got back together and went to a cider place. We got the best cider sampler. The maple vanilla was my favorite.

What’s new with me? I started watching the new Carrie show and I am in love. I am so happy to have a new Mike Flanagan show to watch. I worship the ground that man walks on. I’m currently reading “Trad Wife” by Saratoga Schaefer and loving it! It’s a rainy day here today so I definitely want to get some reading done today!

❓What are you up to this weekend? What are you reading / watching / listening to?
