How do you even begin to put four years into words?🥹

Four years ago, I stepped onto the campus of the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff carrying nothing but faith, ambition, and a dream that honestly scared me a little. I was young, still learning myself, still trying to figure out life, purpose, relationships, leadership, balance, and what it truly meant to grow into the woman I prayed to become.

And somewhere between the long nights, hard conversations, tears, laughter, leadership positions, heartbreak, silent battles, prayers, accomplishments, and unforgettable memories… I changed.

UAPB became more than a university for me. It became the place that stretched me. The place that challenged me. The place that forced me to grow even when growing felt uncomfortable. These buildings have seen every version of me: the girl who doubted herself, the girl who kept pushing anyway, and now the woman preparing to walk across the stage.

There were moments I felt exhausted mentally, emotionally, and physically. Moments where I questioned myself and wondered if I was truly capable of carrying everything on my shoulders. But every single time I wanted to give up, God reminded me that there was still purpose attached to my journey.

And for that, I’m forever grateful.

To my family, friends, mentors, professors, sorors, and the people who loved me through every season of my life… thank you. Thank you for every prayer, every encouraging word, every sacrifice, every check-in, every hug, and every moment y’all poured into me when I needed it the most.

This journey was not perfect, but it was real. And I think that’s what makes this moment so special.

So with a full heart, I am beyond proud to announce that on May 9th, 2026 at 10:00 am, I will be graduating from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. 🎓🖤

A degree earned through faith, resilience, growth, and grace.

Forever a Golden Lion. 🦁✨

A legacy continued. A purpose fulfilled. An Influential Diva forever. ❤️🐘🎓

Thank you to Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, for shaping me into a stronger woman, leader, and servant. This journey challenged me, humbled me, strengthened me, and showed me the true meaning of sisterhood, service, and perseverance. Oh, how I love being a Delta woman! ❤️

To A.R.E.A. 51 — thank you for becoming more than just my line sisters. We grew together, struggled together, celebrated together, and carried one another through every high and low. Y’all became my support system, my safe space, and my lifelong sisters. ❤️ And honestly… I already know I’m gonna get those random phone calls when somebody needs a good laugh because keeping my sisters smiling was always my thing. 😭 Through all the stress and pressure, I always wanted to bring joy, jokes, and light into our journey together. A.R.E.A. 51 will forever be a part of me, and it will always be us.

To my mommy, THE JOKER #9 ΓΑ ❤️🐘— MAMA MAMA DON’T YOU KNOW! ❤️ Thank you for paving the way and creating a legacy I am honored to continue. Before I understood Delta, I saw it through you, your grace, leadership, service, and strength. Every prayer, lesson, and sacrifice helped shape me into the woman I am today, and carrying on your legacy means more to me than words could ever explain.

To ΔΗ — NONE GREATER ❤️ thank you for choosing me and welcoming me with open arms. Oh, how I loved being a part of the legacy. Thank you for your wisdom, love, guidance, and for always pushing me toward excellence. Being recognized as Collegiate Soror of the Year will forever be one of the most meaningful parts of my journey because it reflected the service, leadership, and love that this chapter has been all about.

OH TO BE A HBCU GRADUATE! 👩🏾‍🎓🦁

She came to UAPB with dreams, uncertainty, faith, and a purpose bigger than herself. Somewhere between the long nights, leadership roles, heartbreaks, prayers, tears, deadlines, sisterhood, sacrifices, and moments where giving up felt easier… she found herself. ❤️

She found strength in places she never expected. She found purpose through service. She found healing through community. She found confidence through leadership. And through every lesson, every setback, every accomplishment, and every late night on campus, she kept going.

She learned how to survive in rooms that tested her. She learned how to lead when she was tired. She learned how to pour into others while still trying to heal herself. The yard became home. The people became family. The struggle became motivation.

An HBCU does something special to you. It builds you different. It teaches you how to walk with confidence, speak with purpose, stand tall in your Blackness, and still keep going when life gets heavy.

And after all the pressure, the lessons, the growth, the laughs, the cries, the prayers, the organizations, the sisterhood, and the memories…

that girl she was becoming finally arrived.

And that girl is me. 🎓✨

Now, with pride, gratitude, and purpose, I can proudly say that I am graduating from my illustrious HBCU, the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology as a Magna Cum Laude graduate🦁 taken in University Of Arkansas - Pine Bluff by @thereal.denimmm
