“Hello, my name is Ms. Barry, and I’ll be your 5th grade English and History teacher. Welcome to my classroom, where stories make history!”❤️🎥

Alhamdulillah, one year into my dream job and I couldn’t be more grateful. Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve dreamed of becoming a teacher, and now I get to live that dream every single day.

I have the privilege of standing in front of some of the most beautiful, bright, and curious young minds. My hope is to inspire them, instill in them the grit to work hard, believe in themselves, and never stop chasing their dreams. More than anything, I want them to know that they are capable of accomplishing anything they put their minds to.

What makes this journey so special is knowing that while I’m teaching them, they’re teaching me just as much. Every day, they remind me why I fell in love with teaching in the first place.

Here’s to another year of learning, growing, making memories, and making history together. I pray that I can be the kind of teacher my students will remember long after they leave my classroom. by @thereal.slimmy
