🪡Stitched this up as a birthday gift for @8_bit_hobo a few months back! I’ll share more bits and pieces of the making of plus the finished framed project later. For now enjoy this jittery Timelapse of the lightsabers being stitched! ⭐️I used metallic threads for the lighty-up parts. Kinda hard to see them in the photos but it looks pretty awesome irl. ⭐️Pattern is Stellar Altercations from @patchyatbestco and it is a FAB pattern! Super clear and there’s loads of extra tips included. I’m always hesitant with paid patterns but this one was for sure worth spending the money on. I’ve got two others from them and they’re just as great! Go check them out!! Do it!! #StarWars #StarWarsCrossStitch #StarWarsBlackwork #GeekyCrossStitch #LightSabers #CrossStitch #Blackwork by @therealamyjay
Struggling for content right now so y’all can just enjoy watching me crochet at super speed. Getting a little further with this blanket every day…that I work on it! It’s been a few days since it’s even been picked up. Oops! by @therealamyjay
Crochet a 💙 with me! This was meant to be a festive Valentines post but technology had other plans. 🫠 by @therealamyjay
Throwback to that time I made this adorable bucket hat for my Pops only for it to be way too big for his head and never worn. 🫠 Guess you can’t win ‘em all. by @therealamyjay
Gave my new notebook a wee upgrade with our round corner punch! Dreams are of the day we get a fancy one that cuts more than two sheets at a time. 😂 #craft #cornerpunch #roundthoseedges #Bookbinding by @therealamyjay
I made a little notebook! @8_bit_hobo got me the cool paper for the cover - and I stole some of his dotted paper for inside. Used my own thread to sew it together though! Pleased with how it turned out considering I’ve never done this before. Super quick to make up too! Doubt it will be my last. Anyone else made something using a new craft recently? #craft #bookbinding #planner #diyfieldnotes #learningnewthings by @therealamyjay

Got an Etsy voucher for my birthday (thanks @xenchanted_girlx !!) so I made good use of it and snapped up some patterns from my wish list! This is me stitching up one from @patchyatbestco that I’d been eyeing up for SO LONG and I’m super excited to finally be working on it! Can any of my astronomer buddies work out what this is going to be? I’ve made a bunch of mistakes because I was too proud to grid my aida 😂 but I’m pretty sure no one will ever notice! #crossstitch #astronomy #crossstitching #stargazer #sciencestitching by @therealamyjay
I’m trying to get used to filming/photographing progress on things as I go! Anyone else struggle with this kinda thing? I’m hoping it’ll become more of a habit the more I do it! 🪡🧵 This is me working a bit more on the pressing mat cover I was chopping squares for in one of my last reels. Will show more progress soon! #sewingproject #quilting #sewwithme by @therealamyjay
I don’t think I’ve shown this off yet on here! Probably my favourite make of 2023 was this sweet embroidery I made of ‘The Dookit’ for @8_bit_hobo ‘s Mum! It’s full of imperfections but I’m *so so* proud of it. I stepped out of my comfort zone by using watercolours for the background (a first for me!) and spent so long debating thread colours and stitches. The whole thing took me weeks and at the end I wasn’t sure if I’d even manage to finish it but I got there! Jay whittled the cute little sign for it so it was a team effort which makes it all the more special. I’ve got a couple more embroidered pieces I stitched out last year that I want to share soon - I just need to take some pictures first. #embroidery #handembroidery #watercolour #stitch by @therealamyjay
Made this cutie balloon a few months back for a colleague. I was debating adding magnets to the back but I didn’t have any strong enough to hold it up 🥺 so it’s just a thing to hang around. No pattern, just faffed until it looked ok! #crochet #smile by @therealamyjay
Chop chop chop ✂️ I’m 98% through the project I’m working on with these cute fabric squares, but it’s already being used and I’m pretty sure I’m too lazy to properly finish it. 😂 #quilting #sewingproject by @therealamyjay
