Well, we did it! It was such an amazing night at the one and only Mann’s Chinese Theater in Hollywood! It was such an honor to have our first film THE TRAIL screened at the 2026 Indiewood Film Festival.

We want to thank everyone that came out to support us and spend such a great evening with the cast and crew. There’s nothing like having our family and friends to share this experience with us.

We want to thank everyone that has been so supportive from day one and those that found us through different channels and joined in on the journey along the way.

A special thank you to @indiewoodfilmfestival for selecting us to be part of their amazing film festival, and to the @chinesetheatres for providing such a great viewing experience.

BadOnien Films is just getting started, and we can’t wait to share what’s coming up next.

Be sure to check out BadOnienFilms.com for all our links!

You know Folks, when people ask me what’s my ethnicity, I always say Chicano. That doesn’t mean I’m not proud to be Mexican/American or of Mexican roots, I am. But saying I’m a Chicano is an identifier of where I am from, and where I grew up. It represents a lifestyle and cultural upbringing that isn’t the same as those that grew up and are from Mexico. I have the utmost respect and proud of where my family came from. But it’s not a place that I can say I grew up in.

I might be from the back end of Gen X, but I still grew up in a time period where an identity had taken form. Somewhere in my 20’s and 30’s, I lost sight of where I come from. But as I began to write my comic book, @repothiefforhire several years ago, it made me realize that I had become somewhat disconnected. Now as I’m older, it’s time for me to reconnect with it and reeducate myself with it. I can’t tell a story of who I am and not get it right. I’ve always been proud of who I am and where I come from. As Kid Frost says in this song, “Chicano, and I’m Brown and Proud”. Never lose sight of who you are and where you come from. Always be proud of your heritage.

You know Folks, it took me a while to see that if I want to make things happen and get to where I want to be, I need to stay focused on myself. This doesn’t mean I’ll stop supporting others or interacting with people. But who I do that with will be even more limited. Not everyone deserves my time anymore. I’ll leave that to those that genuinely appreciate my time, and to those that do, I see you. With all that being said, here’s to continued growth and success to all that want it! Happy New Year Folks! Wishing you all the very best in 2026! 💙

It’s that time of the year Folks! I will do everything in my power to complete all 31days! It’s been too far long since I’ve been able to. Posts will most likely happen late at night, but they WILL happen. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do drawing them. Only question is, will it be digital or Traditional? We shall see.

Hung out with my favorite people to watch the @fabfourband at the Starlight in Burbank. Such a great show. They really are the best. Got to listen to my favorite songs from the Beatles. A Day In The Life, Here Comes The Sun, and Yellow Submarine.
Always a memorable outing when I’m with @s.neino and @theartofronny.

Hey Folks! Jan. 1st I started my Daily Sketch. If any of you know, that’s a REALLY hard thing to do. But regardless, I continue to do them as often as I can. Originally I was only sharing them in my stories, but I should share them with everyone in my posts. So to keep the art flowing here, I’ll start to post what I’ve done so far as I continue to do more Daily Sketches for the world to see. ENJOY!
