We now have Odi. And he is a lovely little 15lb guy. LOVES other dogs and such a happy, little dude. YOU CAN TELL HE WAS LOVED. Odi is a gem, and good fortune will shine upon the person that continues his story and shows him ALL the future that his former owner, sadly, could not. Such a joy-filled, handsome, respectful lil guy thriving in foster with another pup.

TINY ABANDONED MOTHER & DAUGHTER. These poor kids were a mess when scooped up by our peeps in Tulare. Aileen is about 3 years, and 10 lbs…and daughter Praline about six months, and half that weight. Both were dehydrated, matted, infested…and yet still SWEET. Despite the neglect & struggle they had endured. Lotta folks assume little ‘designer’ appearing dogs do not get abandoned. Think Again. Here’s the thing NOW: We KNOW they will both have amazing lives this day forward, and we will do the work to make that happen. We are just so THANKFUL that Jennifer & Staff at Tulare Animal Services lead with their hearts. Aileen & Praline: The Life Party is just gettin started…

THE GREAT ESCAPE. This little senior gem was an owner surrender, and slated to be put down because of her medical needs. She has stuff…we all have stuff. Chronic ear infections, eye infections, some cloudiness in her peepers, and in dire need of a dental…and because of some amazing volunteers at the shelter, advocated, we saw her, and we said: “Nope, death is not gonna happen today.” So, wonderful Krista scooped her up and walked her out to FREEDOM, and off to the vet we go.
Little mama will be staying at the vet and we get a solid plan in place. At the shelter - and too at the vet - everyone is in love with this little sweetheart that thankfully had no idea how close she came. Focus is Forward. Please Welcome Petals Zampino into the mix. We are GRATEFUL to all that loved her into staying here. And YES, help toward her medical is most welcome and appreciated! You All make this possible. Link in Bio. Let’s Go Petals!

MISS NADINE: LOOK AT HER GROW! Yes earlier life was not kind, and yes we are treating a myriad of issues. Skin, Ear & Eye infections being addressed. Little lady is also Entropion so we will get her ready to have double eye surgery which will cost about $3,000 - and yes, please, we do need HELP…but also YES her hair is growing back and she could not be a happier little soul. Big Thanks to ALL that have been spending time with Nadine and telling her how Pretty she looks every day. Mavis, Megan, Paula, Carla, Tamara, Justine, Miguel, Jennifer, Joanna, Adela, and more have climbed aboard Team Nadine with all the belly rubs she wants. HAVE YOU SEEN MISS NADINE? Please say Hello. This poor SWEET lady was neglected by her last owner, had a rough life on the streets, and was brought in as a stray to the shelter by a good person that found her and did not expect her to survive, and had been sitting at the shelter for FOUR months. Luckily for her, the good people in Tulare kept her alive and did their damnedest to help her soul and body while she awaited rescue. TRB is thrilled to have Nadine here with us, and already working on her Road to Wellness.

THANK THEM for staying by you these many, never-boring years - noting the JOY + MAGIC they brought & bring.

REMIND THEM how strong, and important they are to you…and how they kept you living IN the moment.

TELL THEM ALOUD, again, the story about how they saved you when you thought you were finishing your own time in this life, but how them laying right next to you every second before and after brain surgery gave you ALL the healing strength.

PATIENTLY HOLD THEM up when they are trying to eat but their legs are too tired to stand. Remind them that they carried YOU plenty of times.

EXPLAIN TO THEM that your life has been Brighter & Wider in great part because of their Teaching.

LET THEM KNOW your bond is eternal…and you will hear them when they are ready, and they can climb right into the same arms that rescued them years ago, to gently FLY away.

SHARE WITH THEM that by merely existing in your world, they inspired THOUSANDS & THOUSANDS of dogs to be SAVED in their honor.

REASSURE THEM that NEVER is the time you will say Goodbye…that it will only be: “I’ll look for you every day…and you WAIT, I’ll find you when I fly home TOO.”

Repeat.
Repeat.
Repeat.

WHERE HAVE YOU BEAN MY WHOLE LIFE? This handsome senior, Garbanzo Bean, is a jovial guy. He was abandoned in someone’s yard and went to the shelter to see if anyone claimed him, and when no one did, we scooped him out. Bean is about 8, and was in tough shape when first pulled, but after nurturing time in foster, and a full set of denture removal, and a crew cut to restart his curls, this kid is so dang happy and great with other dogs. Love walks, loves cuddles, loves Love. Bean’s foster, Aubrey and family, have kids and another pup that Bean adored…and now, the time is here, and this lil adorable Poodle mix is ready to find his family.
If you are thinking of a new little bud with chill, happy energy and a daily JOY for life, come meet Garbanzo Bean, and allow your heart some much welcomed companionship.
