We have a dream! Not sure what the hell I was under the influence of!. Abracadabra speak it and it will be. I don’t know why I chose these difficult challenges but seems to be a pattern in life for me. I can’t even start to go into the struggles and hard work this last year has brought for us but taking it face on with no hesitation we will prevail. It’s just a matter of how long it will take but it’s starting to take shape and the finish line will be worth it!! by @therealcapt_kirk

Well it’s been a minute sense I posted. Yes today is my birthday and I know some were concerned that I was still kicking!! Yes alive and well! After leaving Guatemala I went back to Baja where Jae and I packed up cleaned out and said our goodbye to our wonderful casa after 20 years! Wow sounds easy but seemed like forever to get the job done. Onward to the next chapter in life with wonderful people and friends awaiting us in Panama !! It all sounded like a amazing adventure to get up Acatenango for a view of Fuego! We tried to find a path to ride up but that got shut down. So we hired a guide to hike up spend the night. The reviews all said most people could do if in ok shape!! Well I can tell you that is pure Bullshit. The air is thin the trail is steep and yes it kicked our asses but we made it up about 7 hours hike to a tent for all 9 of us. Wind blowing cold cloud tops that made its own rain freezing cold oh my god us warm blooded creature’s we’re in struggle but the cold rocky dirt in our tent made it more pleasure than we could stand!! Lol ! What a experience and bonding time especially at 2 am when it cleared up and gave a show Mother Nature could provide! Wow worth it ? Hell yes ! Do it again ? Ahh don’t think so! by @therealcapt_kirk

Getting to Largo Atitalan is not a easy adventure! The amount of people in these small villages is crazy the streets are narrow and confusing to say the least. Patience is a must and keeping together is another as we travel as one up up up and down down we go on these steep Guatemala mountains, what a ride!! by @therealcapt_kirk

Crazy mountain routes up to 11,000 feet and cold! I thought places in Mexico were basic living but these people on high mountain regions are another level of simple living!!! by @therealcapt_kirk

After getting sent back to Mexico into a complete cártel controlled town for the night. We had to ride a extra 3 hours for a notary stamped piece of paperwork to all get into Guatemala. We arrived to the border expecting that we had all things in order Wow !! 4 hours later piles and piles of useless paperwork so much frustration and hot Jesus !! A real lesson in patience!! But hey we got it done and Guatemala here we come legal and all!! by @therealcapt_kirk

Largos, cenotes on the border were great! Unfortunately the border crossing here doesn’t process any vehicles so we rode into Guatemala only to exit 2 hours ride later back into Mexico !! Let the shit show begin!! by @therealcapt_kirk
